I Hate Me (Boy X Boy)

Chapter 7

"Cole! Look at this one!" Oly said with excitement, pointing to a famous snapping turtle.

Cole nodded, looking at the creature. It was beautiful.

In fact, this whole place was beautiful. We had been here for some time now, and I'm still not used to it.

We had already seen so many amazing fishes, and even some sharks; like the nurse shark. We learned that it was basically harmless to humans.

"I'll be right back!" Oly exclaimed, running up to a lady in a blue and white suit.

Oly tapped the blond worker on the shoulder. "Excuse me, ma'am." He said to gather her attention.

The worker turned around and looked at Oly. "Yes?" She asked.

"Could you tell us more about the snapping turtle?" Oly asked.

The worker looked between the two boys, before giving them a small smile and nodding. She walked over to the not so far tank and pointed at the creature.

"Well, this here is our common snapping turtle named Shellie. She doesn't really like people, but doesn't bite them just as long as she doesn't feel threatened." She looked at Shellie with a gentle smile.

"The common snapping turtles scientific name is Chelydra Serpentina." She looked at them.

"Did you boys know that snapping turtles are almost entirely aquatic and can be found in a wide variety of aquatic habitats, preferably with slow-moving water and a soft muddy or sandy bottom?" She asked.

The two boys shook their heads.

She giggled. "Well, now you do." She looked down and quickly checked the time. "6:53." The worker muttered. "I've gotta get going, but you boys enjoy the rest of your time here!" She said and walked away.

"That lady was sweet." Said Oly. Cole nodded.

"So, what else do you wanna see?" The almond haired boy asked. Cole shrugged, looking around the aquarium for anything that caught his interest.

Suddenly, Oly spotted the Jellyfish. "Cole, there's Jellies!" He said in an excited tone, grabbing onto Cole's hand and dragging him over there.

Cole's heart beat a bit from the touch. Why is he dragging me? He could just have said, 'Come on, Cole!' Also, He stared at their entwined hands. why am I feeling this? He asked himself.

"Aren't they beautiful?!" Oly's voice snapped Cole out of his thoughts. Cole nodded again, something he had been doing this whole time.

But, Cole wasn't focusing on the beautiful sea creatures.

He was focused on Oly.
