"holy shit, that girl is stunning," alex thinks to himself, watching you walk across the road to meet your friend. alex's friend exits the store and rests his hand on alex's shoulder, getting a closer look of what alex is staring at. "go and talk to her before she leaves."
alex shrugs his friend's hand away from his shoulder and quietly chuckles, "and say what? you know i'm not good at flirting." his friend gives alex a sad smile, nodding in your direction. "looks like she's about to leave."
when alex notices that you're about to walk off, he quickly runs across the road not paying attention to the cars which are honking at him. the repetitive beeping from the cars causes you to look over and you see a attractive boy running towards your direction. alex smiles at you, trying to catch his breath at the same and runs his fingers through his hair.
"sorry, i have been watching you," alex shakes his head, "i mean just for a minute when you left the cafe and i just had to... er... ask for your number."your friend nudges you, giving you a 'go on, you need a boyfriend' look.
you nod your head, smiling at alex who returns the smile back. he grabs his phone from the back pocket of his jeans and hands it to you, so you can type your number in with your name as well. when you hand the phone back to alex, he smirks. "(y/n), what a pretty name."
you blush in response, causing your friend to groan, "excuse my best friend's shitty way of flirting, what is your name?" you lightly smack your friend's arm, shaking your head. "my name's alex and uh, i have to go now. my mate over there is waiting for me,"he nods his head into the direction where his friend is.
you shyly wave at alex, who is running across the road. when he finally crosses the road, he shouts, "i will text you tonight!"
later that night, alex does text you and you quickly text back, despise your friend's advice on how important it is to play hard to get. for the rest of the night, you and alex text each other getting to know one another. after a while, alex asks you out on a date for tomorrow night and you say yes.
