Sally and Thorin were married 2 months later in a lavish ceremony. Dis returned to live in Erebor; she and Sally formed a strong bond. It wasn't long after they married that Sally became pregnant with their first child, he was named Bilgrid in honour of her nephew. Sally was, indeed, the saviour of the Line of Durin, she and Thorin were unusual in that they had a number of children...by dwarvish standards. They went on to have 3 more children, Mimosa, Rosa and finally, their second son Hedgrid.

As King and Queen they oversaw Erebor's return to glory. They once again took up trade with the men of Dale and became known far and wide as purveyors of the finest gems Middle Earth had ever known. The dwarfs of Erebor were happy and thriving.

Bilbo never did make it back to Erebor, he enjoyed his quiet life at Bag End. Sally went to visit him once, after the birth of her children, at the age of 160 years old. They sat for hours under the oak tree that had grown from a small acorn. The people of Hobbiton came to understand Sally and what she was, but she would have nothing to do with them. "If they didn't like me then, they certainly are not getting the best of me now!"

The king sent a small contingent of dwarfs to join with Dain's forces in the Battle of Pellenor Fields.

At the very old age of 307 Thorin died. Sally mourned but also rejoiced for the love that she'd had.

As a Broadbeam Sally had an even longer life. She saw the reign of her son and his son, Thorin III. Finally, at the age of 422 years she joined her husband, her loved ones and the ancient dwarfs of Belegost in the Halls of Mandos.
