"Who are you?" Alex and the 3 said at the same time.
I have a sudden urge to just bang my head on a wall.
"Talking at the same time with each other wasn't enough, that now your saying the same thing at the same time with him?" I inquired with the 3.
"No." They said in unison.
Ya right.
They faced each other, for the first time looking as frustrated as me about their weird telepathy.
"Then what was it just now?" I asked while trying to keep a straight face.
Is it bad that I am enjoying it, seeing them get irritated over something I have fussed over about a million times.
"I didn't do it." Vin exclaimed, quite loudly if I may say so myself.
Awww
He looks like a guilty child, denying his mistake.
What, where is this coming from?
"Never thought I would live to see the day you, 3 will be annoyed with this habit of yours." I said out loud.
"So it is true, you have got a new weakness Cameron or should I say weaknesses." I didn't even remember Alex was still here, until he opened that ugly mouth of his.
But the reality of the situation came back to me with full force.
He is right.
I am turning into a softie.
I am starting to feel.
And honestly, I don't mind.
But they have become my weakness, no matter what I say or do.
Their insistence on being my friends and disturbing my peace has become a part of my life, a daily routine.
But I can't do anything about it now, they are here, in front of Alex. Even after all I did to stop this situation from happening. Even after all the times I snapped at them or pushed them away, they are still standing here without thinking about the consequences.
I turned to face him fully.
"What is it to you?" I spoke while looking in his eyes.
Daring him to say something out of line.
"You don't want them to end up like Carter, do you?" Charles was the one who said that. He should have kept his mouth shut.
I can feel everyone staring at me, waiting for my reaction.
The taunting and curious gazes.
He shouldn't have bring carter into all this.
"Charlie, dogs aren't supposed to talk when his master is having a conversation. I thought you learned that ages ago." I taunted Charles to rile him up.
"Alex, you should get rid of that habit of his, and soon. After all, you are his boss, aren't you?" I questioned with a raised brow.
Thankfully, the intruders ( also known as the young and old gang leaders ) stayed quiet.
Probably because they don't know about that situation at all.
"Who is Carter?" Vincent asked in a whisper, but everyone heard him.
Spoke too soon.
I can hear Rom telling him to be quiet.
A taunting smirk appeared on Alex's face as looked at me.
