Warehouse.
Charles and dudes are residing in an old, abandoned warehouse.
Abandoned warehouse is the most obvious place to hide for someone who wants to stay under the radar.
Why? Why a warehouse? Why not a simple tree house or even a low key motel?
A tree house? Seriously?
I know not a great example but if it gets the message across then, why not?
Why do I even try?
Hey! What is that supposed to mean?
Nothing.
You know what we will discuss this later.
Anywho.
Even a child can predict that much.
Whether it be a book or a movie, bad guys.... or at least potential bad guys always stay at warehouse or gang house.
I wonder if they ever run out of warehouses.
I came out of my internal debate when I reached..... can you guess?
Yes?
Correct.
The Warehouse.
Where the hell is security? I am right here and no one has made an appearance to stop me, I park Zander in front of the warehouse and start on my way to the gate.
I got inside just to dodge a bullet fired in my direction.
Well, at least they are not as clueless as I thought.
"Is that any way to welcome someone you love, SO much?" I sarcastically ask, observing the hole in the wall made by the bullet that was intended to be in my head.
"Why are you here? Because both of us know that you didn't come here to have a lovely chat with a cup of tea, there is always a reason. You will not walk towards your death like you are going for a walk in the park. So what is it?" Charles asked from his position behind the surprisingly neat couch.
Aren't warehouses supposed to be dusty and dirty?
Well you never know, I guess.
"You know me so well, I might just cry at your loving gaze that's focused solely on me like I am the only one....." I pause dramatically and put my hand on my heart and continue "For you.
I sighed a contented sigh just to make the theatrics much more realistic for the other two, the two who are just enjoying the show from the couch.
"Cut the drama or I will do it for you." Charles said cocking his gun in my direction.
"You know what? I am going to do just that. You knowingly walked here that we will kill you. And yet you came here." Charles pointed the gun to my head and made his way towards me. "What game are you playing, Cammy?" He used my nickname that he gave me before any mess happened. The nickname that once made me smile but now, he should think before he says this kind of rubbish.
"Oh Charlie Darling, I thought you knew me better than that. Well, if you want to know so badly, why don't you try to make me spill. Because I don't like playing games with people other than video games, of course. We should play sometimes." I answered as sweetly as I could, just to rile him up.
Charlie pinched his nose and released an exasperated sigh.
"Okay. That's it. Why are you here? And I want a serious and real answer without any stalling."
I rolled my shoulders, straightening my spine.
"I am here to offer a truce. You stay out of my way and I stay out of yours. Simple as that."
"Why?" He asked with a blank face.
"Because I don't want to stretch this weird revenge game an longer." I said walking over to sit beside the almost asleep Snake.
"And why would you want that you didn't have a problem before, could it be because of-" He is cut off by my ringtone blaring in the quiet room.
I take it out of my pocket to see a call from Fran.
When did he get my number or better yet how the hell is his number saved in my phone.
Before I could ponder further on that thought or receive it Snake snatches my phone and Charlie continues.
"As I was saying, you didn't have a problem before, could it be because of those gang leaders that day?"
So I don't think they are going to give my phone back.
"No. It's simply because I don't want you guys on my tail anymore." I said with a careless shrug.
"Oh! Is that so, then you wouldn't mind us going after the Riveras now, would you? After all They are the ones that killed Alex. And after them may be the other 4 as well." Charles said with a smirk forming on his face.
"Do it, don't do it, I don't care either way, it's your call. Why are you informing me?" I started with a bored expression an blank eyes.
"Just because." He answered and turned to the two lazy butts. "Okay then Seth, Aaron, lets go right now." They stood up and Seth or Snake as I know it, gave me back my phone.
"You didn't let me finish Charlie. First listen to me then you can do whatever you want." I instructed as I stood up as well.
They turned to face me.
"I said I don't care either way, because let's see, You are three and they, they are three gangs with many allies. If you go after them you will be slaughtered without a second thought but if you really want to go after them then you won't be able to walk out of here, maybe crawl or dragged out by someone because I am not going to sit back and watch. Till now you were after me, if you drag them into this then I will be the one after you three and trust me you wouldn't want that." I said calmly like I wasn't feeling the burning rage within myself.
"So Alex was right, you have gone soft. Didn't think you will live long enough for that to happen." Charles commented.
I decided to change my tactics here. He is not going to quit it so why not dig for info.
"Why are you so hung up on Alex, Charlie? And why is it that you want to kill me? What have I done to you? Because If I remember correctly, you were also forced to be in that gang of his and we were friends once upon a time. You remember that, don't you?" I questioned him.
"You really don't know or are you playing dumb? You don't know why I hate you? Yes, Alex forced me to join Black Skull but he is not the reason my brother died along with the gang, You are." Charles accused pointing at me.
"Alex told you that, didn't he. Now let me tell you the truth. If you would have just talked about this with me, we won't be at each other's throat now." I stated.
"He isn't just your brother, he means everything to me. Alex was the one that shot Carter, I love him and you know that, do you really think I could put a bullet in someone I love? Because if you do then you don't know me at all." I finished and went to sit back on the couch after the confrontation, giving the three enough time to digest everything.
"You mean to say that I was helping my brother's murderer all this time." It was a rhetorical question so I didn't even try to pretend to answer it.
Glad that he understood it, finally.
Hopefully, now I won't have them after me. After this I am going home to eat some Pizza and get some sleep.
"Now that that's out of the way, do you agree on a truce or not?" I asked ignoring any form of protest that they had.
