Jacobs POV.

I kiss lia's head then me and James walk up to the meeting room we were the first ones there and as he was my beta he helped me set up, one by one my men came in and bowed there heads, my father came in and shook my hand and gave me a half hug and said in my ear,
"Congratulations on finding your mate son"
"Thanks dad, let's get this meeting started"
I took my place at the head of the table with James on my right and my father on my left with his former beta Jordan next to him.
"I want the guards shifts double day and night, I do not want a repeat of yesterday to happen again, zach will not be able to step a foot on to my land again if he does I will personally rip his head off, James you are in charge of dealing with that okay"
"That my job as head of security"
I looked up and saw Logan staring at me,
"Yes and your guys managed to lose a rouge I will not let it happen again so until I say so James will be in charge, any problems?"
Everyone nodded their head in agreement, Logan didn't seem so happy to lose his job but I was not happy that the men he was supposed to be training lost a rouge,
"I will be watching your next training session to see how you train my men, if I don't like what I see James will be taking over completely and you'll be deducted back down to guard"
The meeting continued for another hour or so and I couldn't help but fidget knowing lia was at the doctors but I knew she would be fine with jess.
I mind-linked with her to make sure she was okay,
'Hey jess, it's me is everything okay?'
'We haven't been yet'
'What do you mean you haven't been yet'
'We were baking cookies and cupcakes'
'I couldn't care less take her to the pack doctor now'
'But the cookies and cup....'
'JESS DOCTOR NOW OR I'M TAKING HER MYSELF'
'OMG FINE WE'RE GOING GOD MAN SHUT UP'
'Hey man you okay?'
I look up and see James looking at me as the others are talking among themselves
'Yeah man just worried about what the doctor will say about lia'
'I'm sure she'll be fine she's a fighter that one I promise'
'Thanks man I hope you're right'
One hour had past and we were still in this meeting, Lia had been to the doctors and I still have no idea what was wrong, I tried to mind-link Jess but she's blocked me out, what is going on with them?
I'm dragged out of my thoughts by Kieran and Darren running in
"What the meaning of this?"
"It's the girls"
Me and James are up and all of us are running to Jess's room we barge in and run straight by our mates side,
(Me)
"What happened here"
I felt lia jump in my arms and I hug her tighter,
(Jess)
"There was a fire, if it wasn't for lia I don't know what would have happened"
I look down at lia and smile knowing my girl is a hero,
(James)
"What caused it?"
(Fire)
"Cookies and cupcakes"
(Me)
"What"
(Jess)
I'm sorry it's just we put them in and you mind-linked me saying I need to take lia to the dr. Now or you were doing it yourself and I was worried about lia and Mia that I completely forgot about it"
(Darren)
"Wait why were you worried about Mia? What happened are you okay?"
(Mia)
"What no I'm fine I promise"
(Jess)
"Oh did I say Mia? Sorry I meant lia"
(James)
"It's alright just as long as you guys are safe"
(Jess)
"What time is it?"
(Me)
"It's 10:00am why?"
(Jess)
"You're gonna be late to see mum and dad"
(Lia)
"Shoot"
(Me)
"It's okay I'm sure mum and dad will understand if we cancelled"

"It's okay I can do this, girls will you help me?"
I look down to her and smile that's my girl makes me happy that she won't let anyone down even after everything she's been through , I kiss her fourhead and with that we leave, I go up to my room have shower i wash my hair body and face I jump out and wrap a towel around my waist I throw another around my neck and I towel dry my hair as I walk out the toilet,
"Hey handsome, you've been back almost 2 days and you haven't come to see me?"
I turn on my heels and there she is Courtney, there was never any attachment from me she was just someone I used to keep me company keep me satisfied you know,
"What are you doing here Courtney"
"I've come to see my mate is that okay?"
"Oh really where is he?"
"You silly"
"I am not your mate, I never was and I will never be, I have found my mate and she's more than what you'll ever be, she'll be the best luna this pack has ever seen, and she makes me want to be good, so now I'm asking no I'm telling you stay away from me and my mate and go out there and find your mate someone who makes you want to settle down"
"But..."
"Courtney!"
"Fine! Have the slag but know this she'll never satisfy you like I did, you'll be wishing for me to come back"
"That'll never happen"
She came running over to me and tried to kiss me but I grabbed her arms pushed her off me just enough for you to take a couple steps back,
"I'll destroy that bitch, she'll be wishing she never met you she'll be wanting to crawl back in that hole she came from"
"JAMES!"
In a flash James is in my room,
"What's going on?"
"Get the guards"
"Okay"
A couple guards came in my room not even two seconds later,
"Courtney newton you are here forth a rouge you are never to step foot on our land or any of our allies grounds if you do so you'll be killed on site, you are no longer apart of dead blood anymore"
She looked at me in shock but that soon turned in disgust then it changed to a smirk,
"You'll wish you never said that, it will be me in that bed with you and not that so called mate of yours"
"Get her out of my sight before I rip her head off"
They removed her from my room, James stayed
"Are you okay?"
"Nothing is ruining my mood today, I have my mate my family is now finally complete that's all I've ever wanted, ever since Darcie"
"Hey hey hey that wasn't your fault it was a tragic accident okay"
"I'll always feel like it's my fault James"
"I was there too and so was Cameron, we both saw what happened we know it was an accident okay"
"We should never have taken her there we should have listened to Jess"
"I know it's okay, that's in the past you gotta make her proud and remember what she used to tell us? I hope one day you'll find your mate and have a happy family of your own"
"I know"
He pulled me in for a man hug and I let out a huge breath I hadn't realised I was holding in
"Right you come on time for you to take Lia to meet Jason and Lelia"
