Two more minutes until my favorite class of the school day began.

I looked around the classroom at all of my fellow peers just staring blankly at the four white walls surrounding us. No posters were put yet as well as no photos either. Mr.Dugan wasn't one to decorate his classroom during the school year. In fact, he sometimes wouldn't decorate it until the last month of school when we were all done taking our photographs for the year.

Photography was my favorite class during the school day by far. If I was having a bad day, my system would automatically calm down the second I walked on the tiled floor of Mr.Dugan's classroom. There was just something about this class that calmed me down.

When I was younger, I would always be walking around with a camera, ready to take a picture of the beautiful wonders in our world. My mother always used to tell me that "The camera was always glued to your neck."

She said that of course before she passed away about a month ago from breast cancer and my father was still taking it pretty hard.

I live with my dad now in his little two story apartment. It's not quite as big as my mother's house was, but it was comforting to have him near me.My parents divorced about two years ago and I was still taking in their separation. I don't think I will ever be able to truly cope with their decision to separate. We were always such one big happy family, but now that picture was changed because of the divorce and the death.

Many people would ask me if I missed my mom, and in all honesty I do sometimes wish that she was still here. But unlink many teenage girls, my mother and I didn't have such a great relationship. She would often be working at her office or she would be out of the country for a week, so I had grown used to being by myself alot.

That's why it was such a drastic change for me to move to my dads house where he was on my shoulders every two seconds.

I'm still trying to adjust.

"Welcome everyone to another wondeful year of photography and video!" Mr.Dugan announced with a grand entrance into the classroom. He was wearing his traditional khaki pants with a green button down shirt that he always wore on the first day of school. He had his hair tucked underneath a gray beanie and his black glasses reflected some of the light coming down from the flourescent ceiling lights.

"This year, I have created a new project that will..." he stopped mid-sentance when the classroom door swung wide open.

"Well Mr.Johnson, it was nice of you to join us after the bell," My. Dugan said, placing his hands on his hips.

"Yeah..sorry I got lost," Liam said, rolling his eyes.

Liam Johnson, aka Mr.Popular. Ever since sixth grade he became the head leader of the "popular clan." Now I know, it sounds like my high school is like one of those cliche high schools you see only in movies, but in reality, my high school actually is similarly close to the movies. There's the populars who only hangout with themselves. Then there's the jocks who are conceited beyond words. And then there are the nerds/nobody's. That category is my homeland and I'm proud to be a nobody.

Anyways, Liam Johnson is the one boy that every single girl throws themself at. He's used to getting everything he wants, especially when it comes to girls. You couldn't technically classify him as a player because he does have a girlfriend named Mandy Millmore, and she sure is a piece of work.

"Please take a seat Mr.Johnson, class has already begun." Mr. Dugan stated, rolling his eyes back into his head. You could tell that he was thrilled to be graced with Liam's presence,

I watched Liam out of the corner of my eye as he swiftly walked around the classroom looking for an empty seat. Every single girl that he passed by would have their mouth in the shape of an "o" and their eyes would be wide open, gawking.
