Her First Love(Chapter 7)

Christopher decided that he would think more about his dilemma before he tried to explain things to Christine. What the two of them shared tonight was he hoped to be the start of something wonderful and for life. Never had he been so happy as he was at this very minute. Gazing into Christine's eyes was like gazing at the stars in the heavens. The more he looked at them the more they seem to twinkle. Man, was she beautiful!

As the night became morning the bookstore was cleaned and returned to what was the look of a bookstore once again. Christine and Christopher decided that they would take a walk around the town before they said goodbye to each other. It was still early so none of the shops were opened yet. They decided to take a walk in the park and feed the ducks at the duck pond that was in the middle of the court square.

Before they knew it the hustle and bustle of the town was beginning to come to life and the town shops were starting to open and folks were beginning to fill the town square up. Christine and Christopher decided that it was time to say goodbye and head back to each one's perspective houses. As Christine turned to walk toward her house Christopher grabbed her arm, twirled her around to where she landed in his arms and began to kiss her. It was the most awesome kiss that Christine had ever gotten in her entire life. His kiss was slow and so full of passion. He kissed her so gently. He kissed her in a way that made her want more of him but at that very moment he released her and turned and walked to his car where his driver was waiting to take him home.

Christine was left standing there wondering what just happened. Did she dream the kiss? No, she didn't think so, it was too passionate, too real. Christine felt like Cinderella who had just lost her glass slipper and turned back into a simple maiden girl. Her prince had taken his leave of her and left her standing in his wake. Slowly Christine began to walk home. The night had turned into a dream, and that dream had come true. Christine knew that she should feel joy but for some odd reason, all she felt was sadness, emptiness and a longing, a longing for the man that tonight forever changed her life.

When Christine returned home her father was already making breakfast. Would you like some coffee, he asked her?Yes, as a matter of fact, I would, thank you very much, daddy. So did you have a good time last night? Yes, I had a wonderful time. It turns out that my secret admirer is none other than the young man you saw the other night, you know the one I met at the beach.

I'm telling you, dad, that I have never felt this way about anyone in all my life. Oh you should have been there, it was all so romantic I thought that I was dreaming. He kissed me you know? Oh, how I wish mother was here so that I could tell all about it. I mean I love telling you dad, but mom, well she would know without me saying it. Saying what dear? That I have found my prince charming of course.

Christine, honey I do not want to spoil your good mood but I have been meaning to talk to you about something. It is very important and when I tell you, you may hate me for the rest of your life. Why father there is nothing that you could tell me that would make me hate you. I love you and that is that.

 Christine, dear please sit down.Time is of the essence here.I should have done told you this, so that you could be prepared for whats' to come but I was so afraid that you would not understand and now I do not have a choice but to tell you. Father, tell me what?You are not making any sense here.Just tell me. Well dear, your mother and twin brother are still alive and you are a princess, and at the end of the moon cycle, you are to be wed.
