Her soft brown curls laid on her shoulders. She wore an elegant white satin dress. Her exquisite diamond jewelry shone in the dim light. Makeup complimented her delicate features. She clutched a half filled wine glass. Her dark eyes gleamed.

She would have looked beautiful, if only her eyes were not lifeless and her dress soaked with blood.

All muscles of her body had tightened. Her eyes had sunken into her skull. Her skin was a sickening shade of purple.

The maid, Mrs. Rosa Wolfe had let out a scream of terror when she had found the body on the pleasant morning of Valentine's Day.

She had come for the usual cleaning shift when she found the apartment doors open and came in.

The owner, Mrs. Jane Weld, was lying lifeless in a pool of her own blood.

She had cracked her head when she had fallen dead on the floor, poisoned by the wine.

Beside her lay a note. On it were inscribed four words in red cursive handwriting.
