lovely boy is calling

answer / decline

"Lovely boy? Seriously?" was the first thing Finn heard Savana say.

"Shut up! We're connected," he smiled softly once he heard and saw Scout, a pretend irritated look on her face as she gently shoved Savana out of the way. "Okay give me a second," some shuffling could be heard before her phone was propped up so all three could be seen by Finn. "Hi!" she waved at Finn and smiled brightly.

"So this is him," another voice cut in before Finn could respond to Scout. "The guy with the fancy hair, pretty eyes-" Alec spoke before Scout shot her hand forward and covered his mouth.

"So this is Alec," she pointed to the silenced boy, before pointing to the person on her other side. "And this fancy person is Sav," Savana waved casually before resting their head on their hand.

"Nice to meet you Finn,"

"Nice to meet you too. So you and Alec and asked me to call?"

"Mostly just so we could finally meet you. Scout has said so much we finally wanted to actually talk instead of occasionally communicating online," Savana explained, Alec made a noise of agreement.

"Makes sense, well it's nice to meet you two too, Scout has said a lot about you guys,"

"Aw! You talk about us? Baby!" Alec shouted, finally having had pulled his face from Scouts hand. The tall boy pretty much launched himself at Scout and began to pepper kisses all over the side of her face while she giggled. Finn felt a punch of jealousy deep in his gut, but tried to remind himself that Alec had no feelings towards Scout other than friendly.

"So Alec and Savana, tell me more about yourselves," Finn asked, watching as Alec removed himself from Scout's side and stopped being a total sucker-fish.

"Well, Savana is the quietest and funniest genderless person in the whole world. They also are pretty much the worlds best photographer and have probably dozens of pictures of Scout and I stockpiled everywhere for the eventual future where those will be worth billions," Alec explained, flailing his arms around a bit over dramatically as Finn watched, amused.

"And Alec over here is the most obnoxious and funniest fella in the whole world. He is also absolutely fantastic at playing bass and the drums. He also doesn't like talking about it, but he's great at the clarinet too. His voice is that of soft butter and sounds amazing although he refuses to believe it,"

"That's true," Scout cut in, nodding along with Savana while Alec lovingly rolled his eyes.

"Guys! Pizza!" Someone yelled, Alec and Savana instantly put their fingers to the tips of their noses and turned to Scout.

"Ugh, fine," she rolled her eyes and stood. "Be right back Finn, if they get too weird, hang up,"

"Gasp, weird, us? Never," Alec shot back as Scout walked away. Once the two watched her leave the room, they turned to Finn. "So now that she's gone, spill,"

"What?"

"What do you think of her? Scout, like I don't know," Savana shrugged and Finn felt a blush rising on his cheeks.

"I don't-"

"You like her," Alec spoke, more of a statement than a question.

"You guy's are kind of throwing this at me from no where,"

"Doesn't make it any less true," Savana raised an eyebrow, almost daring Finn to disagree.

"Okay fine, you're right. I cant just say that though!"

"Why not?" They both asked, almost in unison.

"I've never met her! I only started talking to her a few months ago! I can't just say 'hey Scout, I totally have a crush on you but it'll never work out because we're over a thousand miles away from each other' See? Doesn't that sound horrible,"

"Yeah, because you worded it like that!" Alec looked totally frustrated at this point. "Just be honest with her,"

"The only way I could tell her is if I saw her in person,"

"Perfect, good thing she's coming to Vancouver,"

"What?" Finn furrowed his brows right as another voice cut in.

"What?"

"Oh hey Scout!" Savana greeted, smiling warmly as they grabbed one of the plates from Scout's hands. "We were just about to talk about your future trip!"

"What? You told him!"

"Actually Alec told him,"

"Alec!"

Finn watched in bewilderment as Scout punched Alec a few times in the arm while he shouted and flapped his arms around trying to avoid the punches that weren't even that intense.

"He was gonna find out anyway!" Alec gestured to the phone and Scout blushed brightly once she saw Finns amused expression.

"Okay so I wasn't gonna tell you yet, but I'm gonna be in Vancouver for a few days. It's for a recording thing and it wasn't positive yet, but yeah," she paused and tucked some hair behind her ear. Finn knew that he probably had a look of amazement and wonder painted across his face as he stared at her. "I guess I might be able to see you in a month,"

"I can see you," Finn almost whispered.

"You can see me," Scout whispered back, smiling shyly. "We're not gonna be a thousand miles away from each other,"

"Wow,"

Finn could see both Alec and Savana smiling happily at the other two, but he didn't pay much attention to them. That fluffy blonde hair, those bright blue eyes, that easy and bubbly laughter, he could hear and see and be with it all in just a month.

"I'm going to see you," he whispered again, voice still full of amazement and budding excitement.

"I'm gonna see you," Scout smiled once again and Finn couldn't help but think he was in love.
