Sawyer is her brother. He was hurt. If anything like that ever happened to Ava, I would lose my mind. She panicked and decided to put a stop to anything that was standing in the way of her protecting him. It's just what older siblings do, especially after everything they've fought through together. I'm not saying she was in the right, just saying that she's doing what she thinks she needs to do to protect him.
