"You sure you want to do this?"
Hayley sighed once again, "I love you but I will be fine so please stop asking. I wouldn't have signed up for something I wasn't ready for, besides I need a break from everything. I need to get away for a while and Claire has a great job for me." She loved her mother but she could be quite protective sometimes, and Hayley wanted to do something new for herself for once.
"I know but you're my only child so I worry. Please be careful and call me and your father when you have the chance. I'm proud of you, even if I know I'll miss you." Her mother sighed.
Hayley smiled at her mother before kissing her mother's cheek, "I'll be fine. I know you and dad worry but I can take care of myself, you both made sure of that. I will call as soon as I have the chance."
"Fine but only because you're my favourite daughter." Her mother smiled.
Hayley looked at her in disbelief, "I'm your only daughter."
"I see someone is excited." Claire smiled as she helped Hayley put her luggage in the car. The redhead had promised to pick up her best friend and made sure to clear her schedule for her arrival as she wanted to make sure she was settled in probably.
Hayley grinned, "Definitely. I need this. This will be the start of something new and I can't wait."
"Well I'm glad you are, It's nice to see you smiling again." Claire spoke as she tried not to laugh at her friend's excitement. She was glad Hayley was finally smiling and laughing again.
Hayley sighed, "I know. It feels good to get away from everything and finally start afresh. I'm glad you called and gave me this opportunity. I'm ready for this."
Claire nodded in understanding, "Good because I hope you're ready for what I have in store for you."
"Great. I'm ready for what lies ahead."
