"Long day ahead?" Claire asked when Hayley finally came down for breakfast.

The scientist had spent the past few days in the lab studying the T.Rex's behaviour and coming up with effective ways of conditioning her to do certain things as well as the best ways to interact with her without putting herself in danger. She had the liberty of meeting the T.Rex the day before and she knew it wasn't going to be an easy job but she was willing to work hard.

Hayley nodded, "Yep. I know where to start but it'll take some time for her to warm up to me but I should be fine. I have a team to help."

Claire sighed after a moment, "I just want you to be careful. I know I asked you to come here but you're my friend so I worry. Please be safe. I don't want you to get hurt." She knew Hayley was good at her job but the brunette was family to her and she refused to let anything happen to her.

Hayley smiled, "I know you worry, Dearing but I will be fine. I've got this stuff down, hence why I spent four days locked in the lab. It's not exact science but I trust my skills and I can take care of myself. Don't worry. If there are any issues, you will be the first to know."

"Good because I can't lose you."

Hayley smirked, "You mean you can't lose the only person that actually likes you."

"That's just rude." Claire spoke as she glared at her friend.

"You love me really," Hayley shrugged.

"Unfortunately."

"Now that's just rude."

"Well, that was better than last time

"Well, that was better than last time." Hayley spoke breathlessly as the gate finally closed.

Samantha rolled her eyes, "I told you it wasn't going to happen." Samantha was one of the scientists on the team that was helping Hayley with the T.Rex but the young woman was clearly sceptical about what they were doing and refused to participate.

Hayley rolled her eyes at the young scientist, "I'm making progress. She's finally recognised me and knows that I'm someone that's going to be coming around a lot more. This is just the start. Obviously she's still apprehensive as I'm the first human she's interacted with. It will take time, have some faith."

Samantha nodded, "I get it. Well, it's getting late, maybe we should stop for the day so she doesn't get overwhelmed?"

"Thank you. It think you might be right. We can always continue tomorrow and it has been a long day." Hayley sighed. They had started training early in the morning and it was beginning to take a toll on them all. They needed their rest for tomorrow. Hayley was proud, despite it only having been one day, she was making more progress with the T.Rex than anyone had done before. It's wasn't going to be easy but she was definitely ready for the challenge.

Samantha smiled, "I'm not going to argue with that. Hopefully tomorrow we'll make more progress, it is a new day."

"Everyday is a new day and tomorrow will be just that. A new day."
