I'm going to try and make the chapters longer but, that means it's going to take longer to put out there. Thanks for understanding and without further a due, I bring you chapter two.

Keith POV:

"Keith, you have a transmission call waiting for you" Kolivan said.

"Alright" I walk over to the transmission coms wondering if it was someone will to help the resistance. Answering the call I see... Shiro crying...

"Shiro what's wrong?! Is anyone hurt?"

"No, but... we got surrounded. Allura tried everything she could but, she overdid it becoming unconscious in the process. Lotor was about to take our lions but, stopped the countdown because..." He stopped almost as if what he was going to say next was going to hurt me more than ever.

"Spit it out Shiro. Listen I'm glad everyone is alright but, I need you to tell me what happened? Is it Pidge? Coran? Hunk? Matt? Lance?!" I yelled.

Shiro flinched when I said Lance's name and I was already being filled with anger.

"What happened Shiro?!"

He paused and finally said "Lance sacrificed himself and the Blue Lion to Lotor without hesitation or even saying anything."

Slamming my hand down on the table, I yelled "Where is he?!"

"We don't know. Pidge and Matt have been trying to locate him but, so far they got nothing. Listen, Keith. The team- no, I need you to come back here. Can you do that please?" He pleaded and I can see it in his eyes, Shiro was defeated and needed hell.

"I'm on my way Shiro. Just hold on." I turned off the comm and turned around to see Kolivan handing me my jacket.

"Your team needs you. Go do what you have to do." I nodded and headed off to my ship.

I'm coming Lance, I promise.

Shiro POV:

After the call with Keith, I went back to Allura's bed side. Dabbing her head with a cold rag as she lies in her bed sweating and wincing in pain. I feel so powerless and I hate the fact that I can't help her anymore than what I'm doing right now. Easing into the bed beside her, I was shocked at the fact that she was freezing cold.

"I got you Allura." I whispered as I cradled her in my arms bringing her close to my chest to give her some of my body heat. To my surprised, she turned her face into my chest and clung onto me as her breathing slowed.

"Th- thank y-you Sh-shiro" she mumbled before passing out again. I blushed.

"Dummy, no need to thank me. I will always be here to protect you when you need me and even when you don't." Without realising, I fell asleep with Allura in my arms with the smell of sweet berries flowing in the air from her hair filling up the room like a spring day on my grandfather's farm.

I woke up with Allura's hand on my cheek. Peering deep into my eyes with her big ocean blue eyes that has tiny white flecks that makes them look like the galaxy along with her purple pupils. Hypnotised by her beauty I couldn't help but blush however, even though they were beautiful they were filled with sorrow.

"Are you alright, Shiro? You're crying..." she said wiping away my tears.

"Allura...?" I said pressing my hand against hers as she slightly tilt her head and smile at me genuinely, I embraced her once more. She hesitated at first but, then she accepted my warm embrace as she clung onto me once more.

"Shiro, I-I have something... I have something to tell you" she said.

"Wh-what is it Allura?" I asked trying hard not to blush but obviously failing.

"I've been meaning to say this for a while but, I-" Allura got interrupted by Coran bursting through the door. He sees Allura on top of me cradled in my arms on the bed, in other words it looked bad.

"PRINCESS! YOU'RE AWAKE AND- uh why is Shiro in the bed with you?" Coran asked pointing at me. I fumbled out of the bed busting my ass on the floor and quickly getting back up as I clearly made a fool of myself in front of Allura so I started to blush even more.

"He was helping me get warm. This castle is freezing Coran. If it wasn't for Shiro being here for me, I would've been turned to frost" She said smiling at Shiro then turning back to Coran who stood there thinking about it.

"Well, Shiro I have to thank you for insuring the princess safety" he said patting Shiro on his back.

"I'm going to go check on Hunk in the kitchen to see if he's alright." I called out as I make my way to the door.

"Um, that wouldn't be a good idea Shiro. Hunk is a little on edge. He nearly hit me with a meat cleaver! Don't go Shiro its too dangerous!" He said in a joking tone but, somehow serious.

My face darkened a little as I clenched my fist, "Like Lance did..." I flinched a little after realizing what I said. Seeing Allura clenched her fist over her heart obviously in pain as Coran looks away avoiding eye contact with either one of us.

"I'm sorry..." I said as I sprint out of the Princess's room run to my own.

"Shiro!" I hear them call out to me in the distance as I continue sprinting, their voice fading into the distance. I'm sorry Allura.
