The loud music that blared through the speakers along with the dozens of students who had obviously drank tainted punch, definitely gave Colby an artificial high. "This is ridiculous." He shot his head toward Sam who was by his side in seconds.
"I expected it to be like this but not. . like this at the same time." Sam couldn't find the right words to describe the way he was thinking.
"Someone obviously already spiked the punch." Colby gestured toward the table with the big bowl of refreshment, red cups decorating almost everything in the room.
"Please tell me you aren't going to- and you're already gone." Sam sighed, as he watched Colby pour himself a cup of alcohol punch he could already guess this was going to be a bumpy night.
They spent both spent their time dancing and eventually Colby convinced Sam to have at least one to three drinks of spiked punch. The entire time they had been there reminded Sam of a some intense Glee episode once Brennen had shown up.
Katrina pulled both of the teens off to the side and pointed Brennen out in the crowd, "He ended up showing." Colby's breath hitched as he looked to Sam, anger clear as day on his face. They were both slightly intoxicated which didn't help any emotion they were experiencing. "I think you guys should go home, you're both obviously intoxicated and I feel if you stay something horrible is going to go down."
"I'm fine." Sam huffed in frustration, no words could help him express how much he wanted to punch the smirk off Brennen's face.
"Sam-" Colby placed a hand on Sam's shoulder, "Katrina's right, let's go home." His eyes pleaded for Sam to agree and leave with him. "We've been here for a couple hours, I'm kinda tired, please?"
"Alright." Sam sighed as he began to follow Colby out towards the exit, Brennen easily spotted the two.
"Hey, Golbach!" Sam closed his eyes in frustration and Colby quickly grabbed his hand.
"Let's go." He whispered, "Don't acknowledge him."
"Colby-"
"Sam! Please."
"Fine." Sam finally let Colby guide him outside and toward Sam's car.
"Really? Gonna walk away without a single 'hello'?" Brennen was behind them in minutes and two of his friends were in front of them with buckets in their hands.
Colby sighed, "Brennen, we're just tired. We just want to go home." His voice pleaded Brennen to just back off.
"No, after that scene Samuel here pulled off a couple weeks ago, you deserve this."
"You deserved everything that happened." Sam growled, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion with what he was getting towards.
"You might wanna turn around." Brennen smirked as he gestured toward the boys behind them.
"What?" Colby whispered to himself as they both turned their bodies in the opposite direction of Brennen.
Suddenly, both were doused with fruit punch. Their white buttons up were now stained a light pink color and Sam's hair was now pink instead of the sandy blonde it used to be.
"Alright, we're out of here." Brennen signaled his friends to leave, "Hasta la Vista fuckers." He hollered as he disappeared back into the school.
They both opened their eyes after wiping the punch away and looked to one another, laughing as they dragged themselves to a near by bench.
"Well this night couldn't possibly get worse." Colby sighed exasperatedly with a small smile on his face, shaking his hand to get some of the fruit punch off his hand.
"Actually, Cole there's something I need to tell you." Colby's smile immediately dropped to one of confusion when Sam used his real name.
"You have to pull out Cole for this? Must be really serious then. It's not going to destroy our lives or anything is it?"
"Colbs, I'm moving. To California."
