Rebekah waited in the Gathering Hall for Vallen to return to her and tell her what the Immortal Vanessa wanted. Her need seemed desperate, and Vallen immediately left with her."They are trying to help Lord Kano," Elsa said. Rebekah saw nothing wrong with Kano.
"What is wrong with Lord Kano?"
Delta looked around to see who was watching them before she began speaking. "His father, Ravie, wanted to give our souls to the dark lord. He was an evil vampire and even worse father. He terrorized the valley for years until his sons were strong enough to kill him. He managed to bite Kano before his death, and they have a connection beyond the grave that the Immortal is trying to break."
"When the blood turns to Ravie, Kano cannot control himself. He is crazed and dangerous. Every week he must take a potion."
"If his father is dead why is the blood so powerful?"
"Ravie was a disciple of the demon in hell. His blood will live on in Kano until the one that can silence it appears."
Rebekah creased her brow. "What does that mean, kill him. I don't think that his brothers would allow that. They love Kano."
Delta chuckled. "No, she will be a buffer for him. Ravie will not be able to move through her presence."
Rebekah looked towards the direction that Vallen had gone. "So the one is not here."
"We don't know yet. We have not tried it without the potion. Etan mere presence keeps the beast quiet, but he can't be around Kano all the time. They are enemies."
"Well, they are accepting of each other until a time that they are not. Etan will not attack him while he is unwell. He does have honor. Kano's condition is why there is a truce between them."
Rebekah smiled at the older women. "Did you two help with this potion?"
Elsa and Delta smiled. "We don't want to be raving zombies with an endless need for flesh. Of course, we did. We helped with this batch. He will get quite a jolt from it."
Rebekah looked over at Owen. "Won't he try to hurt him because he will be weak now. I see no reason for him to be here."
Elsa looked over at the blonde vampire smiling just waiting for Kano to appear. "He would if Vallen was not here. He is the king."
Rebekah sighed. "Many think that he is weak,"
Delta and Elsa chuckled. "They think that if he is not continually fighting showing his power that he is weak. We know that one is more potent if you do not have to lift a finger to get your words obeyed. Your father has that kind of power."
Kano stared at the small vial of clear liquid and then looked at Vanessa's coven watching him. Etan, Vallen, and his two brothers all stood behind the concerned vampire because the Immortal asked them to be there. They were not sure if this concoction would hinder the voice of his father or free it. His father would love nothing more than to live inside his son and enslave the vampires of the valley again. He wanted to a mighty vessel, and his son was it. While Ash and Eli's blood escaped the connection to their father, Kano was not that fortunate. He was the firstborn and Ravie bit him.
"So this will not make me sick. I thought it was impossible to make a vampire sick, but you old witches found a way."
Vanessa smiled as her coven chuckled at the young vampire lord.
"We reduced the amount of snake b...."
Kano held up his hand. "Please don't tell me what is in it or your assembled army will have to force me to drink it."
