Though out the entire walk to the shop Poland had been almost completely silent, the only time he talked was when Lithuania attempted to break the silence with the odd mention of the weather or current events although Poland replies where always unusually short and dead in tone. Lithuania couldn't stop worrying, 'why was Poland acting so weirdly? Nothing had happened recently between the two of them... was it another nation? No. It couldn't be he is too shy... it would have to be something else... but what?' Lithuania's thoughts ran about, scrambling, to find the answer to why his fellow nation was acting so strange.
By the time they had arrived the silence in the air was almost terrifying, the two nations walked into the shop, picked up a basket and headed to get their shopping. The silent tension slowly eased as the pair wondered around the shop, Poland's speech pattern was steadily returning.
Lithuania gave a sigh of relief, 'Perhaps Poland's abnormal behaviour was just him been tired.'
Or not. Lithuania's relief was cut short as Poland fell silent and dropped a can of tomatoes. Lithuania turned his head to see Poland's eyes lifeless.
"Poland?" Lithuania reached for his companion, "Poland? Are you ok?" No reply. The blonde just stood there as lifeless as a ghost.
Lithuania grabbed Poland's shoulder. No response. Panic began to swell up inside Lithuania.
"...P..Poland?" He asked once more hoping for a response...
Life rushed in to Poland's eyes in an instant,
"I like totally got you again Liet!" Poland laughed. Lithuania sighed, if Poland had done this at any other time there would of been a much different response but right now Lithuania was glad Poland was ok. Still... that couldn't of just been one of Poland's stunts. No. There is defently more to that than Poland been Poland.
"Come on, let's go pay for this all." And with that Lithuania picked up the can of tomatoes, with Poland trailing directly behind Lithuania they headed to the till.
Lithuania reached into his pocket for his wallet, Shit. It wasn't there. He must of left it at home, Poland never carries money around unless it is obligatory, Lithuania usualy pays for the shopping so he wouldn't had brought any money.
"You forgot your wallet?" Poland leaned over Lithuania, "I'll run back and get mine." Lithuania was shocked at this gesture that was completely unlike that of Poland.
"Are you sure? I'll go get it if you want." This was the only response Lithuania deemed appropriate in this situation.
"Nah, It's fine." And with that Poland took off. Lithuania stood there and began to apologize to the person at the till.
It had been 30 minutes since Poland had set off back to the house just enough time to of returned to the shop, however he was a bit of a slow walker at times so Lithuania was going to alow 10 more minutes before he called Poland.
The 10 minutes pasts that seemed like hours to Lithuania, who was getting more and more panicked over the location of Poland as each minute passed, so he took out his phone and called his absent counterpart.
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. "I'M SORRY THE PERSON YOU HAVE CALLED IS UNAVALIBLE. PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE AFTER THE TONE.......BEEEP."
Lithuania despised leaving voice mails however he felt he had to in this case "Hi Poland it's me Lithuania, how long will you be, I'm getting a little anxious about you. Call me back thanks."
Lithuania put his phone away and couldn't help but wonder what was up with Poland today.
