LietPol - Why?

Chapter 4

The sunset sun slipped through the curtains as Poland awoke, his head ached as did his eyes and throat, Lithuania was sat on the end of the bed offering him a cup of coffee,

"Are you ok?" Hearing Lithuania's calm voice always helped Poland and this was no acceptation, Poland smiled, took the coffee and replied,

"I'm fine." as he was about to take a sip of his coffee he saw tears falling from Lithuania's face, "Liet?"

"I'm so glad you're ok." Lithuania wrapped his arms around the sleepy nation, just managing not spill the coffee, "I was worried."

"I know I'm sorry." Poland was on the edge of crying but he managed to keep himself composed by remembering that he had his turn earlier now it was Lithuania's turn to let it all out, he was about repeat Lithuania's prior actions when Lithuania drew away his hug and wiped his tears,

"I'm sorry, this is unfair on you," Lithuania smiled, "We can get a takeaway for dinner, we have a few snacks in if you want anything." A surge of guilt filled Poland, this wasn't unfair on him, it was unfair on Lithuania. He needed to take sometime to care for himself. He's too kind. Still Poland said nothing just handed over a nod as a response. Lithuania left the room and Poland lay his head down on the pillow, he knew he would be unable to sleep but he didn't want to worry the Lithuanian anymore then he had.

It must have been about an hour before Lithuania retuned, he had yet another cup of coffee for Poland,  

"What should be get for dinner?" Lithuania passed the coffee over and smiled, Poland didn't even want to think about food however to keep Lithuania from worrying he just replied with,

"Wasn't there that new takeout that open a few weeks ago? Just down the road. How about something from there." Poland wasn't going to put on his usual tone of voice whilst this horrible feeling was leaning over him despite his wish not to worry Lithuania. Lithuania nodded his head and took out his phone to check the menu, they chose the food, ordered and waited for it to arrive.

Poland felt much better once they had eaten, Lithuania was relived as Poland began talking in his usual valley girl speech patterns.

"Hey Liet? Let's like watch a film!" Poland was abnormally fast to get back to normal, but Lithuania knew almost all the nations where like this after all they were deigned to cope well with both mental and physic trauma, even though like today they have their fair share of break downs just like humans.

"Sure." Lithuania replied, "What do you want to watch?

"A romance!" Poland exclaimed with his usual smile, Lithuania was taken aback,

"Since when did you like romances?" Poland just smirked, Lithuania had no choice but to agree, they went, sat on the sofa and found a cheesy romance film. The pair got some popcorn they had left in the back of a cabinet and began watching the film.

At some point Poland had began to braid Lithuania's hair, decorating with pink ribbons from his pocket followed by the two of them falling asleep in each others arms.
