The sun lit up the room, the two nations sat there embracing each other whilst dreaming sweet dreams, that's what the smiles said anyway. The first one to open their eyes was Poland, once gaining full consciousness he looked at Lithuania's peaceful face, a bit of his hair had fallen onto his face so Poland tucked it behind his ear and took out the braids in the other nations hair, he really did look to be in complete peace whilst he slept. Poland couldn't bring himself to wake Lithuania up so he took it upon himself to go to the shop and buy stuff for breakfast.
He changed his clothes, got ready to leave and left a note informing Lithuania where he was just in case he woke up while he was gone. Poland stepped outside and felt the cold air bite him despite it being so warm the previous day.
The shop was only 10-15 minutes walking , he grabbed everything he needed, paid and left.
He pulled out his phone and smiled as he saw a notification on the home screen, it was a message from Lithuania telling him to stay safe whilst he was out. Whilst replying a figure had taken the opportunity to stand directly behind Poland.
As Poland put his phone away the mysterious person tapped his shoulder, Poland turned around, his eyes widening in shock as he saw them.
The fact Poland had gone to the shop, a deed he struggled to complete just a day prior, secured Lithuania's concerns stayed at the back of his head under a thick coating of positive relief to which Poland's reply via text had thickened. Lithuania decided to make himself a coffee whilst he was waiting for Poland to return, there was just enough for a few more cups,
"Please say Poland got some more." He mumbled under his breath, he opened the fridge for some milk then realised they had none. 'Oh well Black coffee is fine' he told himself, only when he sat down and began to drink his coffee did he realise how accustomed he had became to having it with milk now and how it tasted horribly bitter. It had no matter he kept drinking it, it would be a waste not to.
The door opened "Hey Liet! I'm back." Poland came stumbling in out of the cold carrying a couple of shopping bags full to the brim with shopping.
"Don't you think you've got too much?" Lithuania walked through the kitchen door way with his coffee hoping Poland had got some milk.
"Nope! Just the right amount." He passed the bags to Lithuania, "Could you like totally unpack them for me?" Poland bounced into the living room, threw himself onto the sofa and turned on the TV while Lithuania put all the shopping away. He was going to ask Poland to help but he didn't want to waste his breath.
Lithuania was halfway through unpacking when he saw an envelope in one of the bags addressed to him.
"Hey Poland?" Lithuania picked the card up, "What's the card for?"
"Just Open it!" Poland yelled from the other room. He broke away the seal of the envelope and slid the card out, a beautifully painted watercolour bird decorated the front of the card. He opened up the card and nearly broke down as he got to the end of it for it read,
To Liet,
Sorry for constantly relying on you,
Sorry for constantly pestering you,
Sorry for always making you worry,
Sorry for everything,
but know I do love and care about you more then anything.
-Poland.
He ran into the living room and wrapped his arms around Poland.
"Aš tave myliu*," these where the only words Lithuania could think of.
Poland returned the hug, "kocham Cię**."
*I love you In Lithuanian
** I love you in polish
