Truth or Dare (Dragonets of Destiny)

This takes place before the first book when the dragonets are around 3-4.

I was getting late and the dragonets were heading to bed. Sunny had already started to fall asleep but Glory, Starflight, Tsunami, and Clay were all up and not ready to sleep.

"I don't understand how Sunny can fall asleep so easily, especially since we're being forced to go to bed so early tonight," Starflight complained.

Kestrel has sent them to bed an hour earlier than usual tonight because Tsunami had talked back and once again argued with Kestrel to the point where they were all punished.

"Ya, I would have thought it'd be Glory to fall asleep first" Tsunami teased and got an eye roll from Glory.

"And without dinner. I'm starving..." Clay complained as he rubbed his empty stomach.

"Well, I have an idea of what we could do!" Tsunami announced proudly.

"If it will get us into any more trouble I'm out," Starflight said as he gave Tsunami a suspicious look.

"Well, we could make certain rules to prevent it if your gonna be an egg about it." Said Tsunami.

"An egg?" Glory said in a mocking tone.

"Well I would say dragonet but we are dragonets so... anyways! The game we are playing is Truth or Dare!" Tsunami announced excitedly.

"Hmm sounds interesting. But, what is it exactly?" Starflight asked curiously.

"It's what it sounds like. Someone asks you truth or dare and then you pick either truth or dare. Then the player picks the truth or dare for you. But you have to do or say whatever the person asks." Tsunami explained. "And let's make it a rule that none of us can dare anyone to do something to Kestrel, Webs, or Dune. Got it?"

" Ok sounds interesting. Tsunami you first since you came up with the idea." Said Glory.

"Ok umm Glory truth or dare?" Tsunami asked smirking.

" Well from that smirk Ima be safe and go with truth." Said Glory

Tsunami then whispered "egg" under her breath and thought of a truth. Then she said, "If you had to pick between Clay and Starflight, who would you rather be in a relationship with?" Tsunami asked Glory, clearly proud of the question she had come up with.

"Clay, sorry Starflight but nightwings give me the creeps and if we were ever married I would have to be around a lot of them at the wedding." Glory said matter-of-factly.

"Ya, fair reasoning. Honestly, they creep me out too..." agreed Starflight.

"Ha, now you've jinx yourself. I can see it now, you and a big handsome nightwing flying off into the sunset together!" Tsunami said sarcastically in a dreamy tone.

"Ya right like that would ever happen" Said Glory rolling her eyes again.

"Anyways, now it's Glory's turn." Said Tsunami

"Ok, ummm, Clay truth or dare? Asked Glory.

"Well I'm no egg so dare!" Said Clay excitedly.

"Ok, I dare you to go and find food for us but you can have any until we're finished eating." Dared Glory.

"Nooo that's the worst!" Clay said disappointedly as he walked out to go and find food.

"Be careful Clay!" Starflight said before Clay left.

"Ok well Clay was supposed to go next but he might be out there for a while so Starflight can go next." Said Tsunami looking in Starflights direction.

"Oh, alright, um Tsunami truth or dare?" Asked Starflight.

"Dare!" Shouted Tsunami excitedly.

"Alright... let's see... oh! I dare you to only say nice and kind things to Glory until the game ends." Dares Starflight.

"Pfft, easy! Consider it done!" Said Tsunami confidently.

"I bet you won't last two turns." Said Glory smirking at Tsunami.

"Well I- I mean, thank you Glory for the comment, but I believe I can last more than that." Said Tsunami through gritted teeth.

"Oh, this will be fun." Said Glory still smirking.

"Found food!" Exclaimed Clay excitedly.

"Yay chicken! But shouldn't we wake up Sunny to let her know there's food?" Asked Starflight.

"Naw let her sleep. I'll save some for her for when she walks up." Said Glory between bites.

Clay reached for some of the chicken only to have his hand slapped by Tsunami.

"Hey remember the dare? No eating until we finish." Scolded Tsunami.

"Oh, right," said Clay sadly as he tilted his head down to look at the food he couldn't have.

"Clay it's your turn by the way." Said Starflight while eating.

"Oh yay! Hmm, Starflight! Truth or dare?" Asked Clay excitedly.

"Um... I'll choose-" Starflight started but was then cut off by Tsunami.

"I hear talons in the hallway. Quick hide the food and get to bed!" Tsunami hissed.

And with that the dragonets ran as fast as they could to their sleeping caves and hid the food with Clay, leaving the game to end.
