Could Heart

Three weeks later:

The past few weeks had gone by faster than I had expected. I worked hard on my presentation and finished it right on time. Spring break was the upcoming week and I was planning on visiting my parents in Texas, and of course I had to take Loki with me and pray that he didn't cause trouble. "So, what are you going to say to your parents about me?" he asked. "That we are just friends." I said. "My dad will hate you instantly if we make it seam like we are going out, he never liked any of the boys I dated." I said. "Oh...." said Loki raising his eyebrows. I was sitting on the couch and Loki was sitting on the floor as we played Mortal Combat, he was good at it. "I think that maybe you should act.... gay... in front of them." I said pausing the game. Loki laughed and turned to look at me with a look that said "Are you fucking serious?". I giggled and shook my head. "They won't believe that anyway." I said smiling. "Why not?" he asked. "Well... its a long story." I said. "I have time." he said. "Its about something that happened with my ex boyfriend, for the longest time I told my mom and dad he was gay so they wouldn't suspect of our relationship; and then my dad caught us kissing on my room one night..... my dad almost shot him and I was grounded for about a month." I said laughing. Loki smiled and turned to stare at the paused game on the tv. "Why did you leave home?" he asked. "I needed to get away, I had always dreamed of moving out here to New York and when I saw the chance to do so, I did." I said not really wanting to talk about the subject. "But why?" he asked looking up at me. "I wanted a new start." I sighed. "Was it about that boyfriend of yours?" he asked. "Yeah...I guess you can say that." I said getting up and walking to the kitchen to grab some water. "Do you still love him?" he asked. "No... why are you asking so many questions?" I asked narrowing my eyes suspiciously. "I just want to know more about you." he said. Truth was that I didn't trust Loki too much. During the past three weeks he's been here hes been good but there were times he scared me. I know he knew this, I had to admit he wasn't stupid. At times, I would catch him staring at me and I would wonder if he was plotting something against me. "Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked taking me out of my train of thought. "Sorry, I didn't realised I was starring at you." I said drinking my water. "So... I've told you a little about myself and my family... what about you?" I asked sitting down next to him on the floor. "What about me?" he asked. "We've lived under the same roof for a while now.... almost a month, and yet I dont know much about you." I said. "Unless you want me to believe everything that the internet said about you having kids with a horse and all that." I said. "No I dont have kids.... that I know of..." he said. "What is Asgard like?" I asked him. he looked at me and then to his hands. "Asgard is beautiful, buildings made out of gold... I think you would like it." he said smiling down at me. "Do you miss Asgard?" I asked him. He shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. "Im sorry this happened to you Loki." I said. "After what I've done? You feel sorry for me?" He asked looking at me puzzled. "Why would you hold sympathy for me?" he asked. "Because..." I glupped not knowing what to say. "I know what's like to feel abandoned by your family." I said. "You silly mortal girl, don't feel sorry for me. I dont want your sympathy." he said chuckling. "Do you always have to be so could hearted Loki?" I said. "I don't have a heart.... and yes, its in my nature to be could." he said. "Well.... that's the last time I try to make you feel better... I apologize for even trying to." I said getting up from the floor.  "Good night your majesty." I said sarcastically bowing in front of him and walked angrily to my room.  Loki chuckled and I slammed the door shut, he was such a jerk! but what could I expect from some one like him?
