Y/N POV
After our free period, we headed to Defense Against the Dark Arts, with Professor Lupin.
Unfortunately, Malfoy was in the same class. We stepped inside the classroom and put our
book bags on the side.
"Gather in, gather in. Today we will be learning about boggarts. Does any one know what
a boggart is?" Professor Lupin asked. Hermione and I raised our hands. Lupin picked me. "Yes,
Ms.Y/L/N." He called.
" A boggart is a shapeshifter, it takes shape of your worst fear." I spoke. Hermione
nudged me lightly and whispered,
"Good job." I smiled back.
"Now, there is a simple spell, to confront your worst fear. Repeat after me, Riddik-ulus ."
He said. Everyone repeated after him,
"RIDDUKULUS!"
"This class is Ridiculous!" Malfoy said. I turned around and frowned at him. He smirked back.
"Now. Everyone line up, and think of your worst fear. When you confront the boggart
think of something funny and say, RIDDUKULUS." Lupin instructed. Everyone started lining up. I
lined up behind Harry. Malfoy started pushing people and pushed me out of line. I pushed him
back, and he pushed me again. We kept pushing each other, and I pushed him so hard he
stumbled all the way to the back of the line. Harry was watching us, and gave me a secret high
five. Hermione gave me a wink. Neville went first, and his boggart changed to Professor Snape.
He quickly said,
"RIDDUKULUS!" The boggart changed to Professor Snape in Neville's Grandma's clothes.
Harry, Hermione, Ron and I laughed. Many people went, including Ron. His boggart changed to a
spider and when he cast the spell, it changed to a spider with skates. It was finally Harry's
turn then almost mine. I still didn't think of my worst fear. Harry stood in front of the previous
boggart. It suddenly changed into a dementor. He didn't cast the spell, but stared in horror.
"HARRY!" Lupin shouted. He ran in front of Harry. The boggart suddenly changed to the
moon.
"Why did it change to that?" I thought. Professor Lupin shouted,
"RIDDUKULUS!" The boggart turned to a white balloon and Lupin flicked his wand, and
the boggart went back to the cupboard. Harry stood at the same spot, looking as if he was
petrified.
"Harry. Harry!" I shouted. He suddenly looked at me. "Are you okay?" I asked. He nodded.
"Class dismissed." Professor Lupin said. The class groaned and headed out. I walked
beside Harry and we headed to the great hall for dinner.
