"I think we lost them." Mavis guessed. Logan then placed Lexi leaning against a nearby bolder. "We got the fire right?" Lexi asked as Roxy showed her the jar of Hephaestus flame. "Good, what's the next ingredient?" Lexi asked. "One of the fire dragon king's scales." Roxy answered. "So we're going back to the fire islands." Noah guessed. "No, the fire dragon king lives in the depths of hell." Lexi answered as she wrapped her arm in medical tape and got up. "So we're going back Tartarus." Lexi nodded. "We'll camp here for the night and her going to the portal in the morning." Lexi said as they started to set up camp.

"Making me keep watch of the stupid ingredients... I need sleep too ya know." I grumbled as I looked at the two ingredients. I then heard a piercing wolf howl boomed through the forest. Creeping through the tree towards me were half a dozen wolves. I knew those blood red eyes and jet black fur from anywhere. Without a doubt, the Blood Wolf Pack was here.

"Hello, Malumclaw."

"Hello, Liam."

"What brings you here? There isn't a village to torment for miles." I asked. "My pack is hungry. We came for a midnight snack." He answered. "You're really gonna eat one of your own kind?" I asked. "I thought you learned your lesson by now. I bite back" Malumclaw laughed. "No, I know the way of the wolf. However, the girl behind you. She'll do just fine." Malumclaw told me with a evil grin. "If you so much as scratch Elinor, I'll wear you as a coat." I warned him.

"My my, feisty aren't we?" He laughed. "She doesn't smell that bad either. Kinda like bubble gum." Malumclaw then came closer towards Elinor as I glared at him. "I told you I would wear you like a coat if you didn't back off." I reminded him. "Calm down, sesh you're so teriotral." He then noticed something around Elinor's neck. "What's with the locket?" He asked referring to the purple heart locket around Elinor's neck. "You don't need to know." I answered harshly.

"Tell me or I crush it." He warned me as he ripped it off her neck holding it in his mouth. "Well, what's it gonna be? You don't want your girlfriend to blame you for losing her locket do you?" Malumclaw asked as I looked down at her sleeping so peacefully. "That's what I thought. Now tell me what's with the locket?" He asked again. "It's top secret. Other than Psych, I'm the only one who knows and I'm not telling you." I answered. "Fine, I'll just break it." Malumclaw smirked, biting down harder on it. "You can tell me at anytime." "Fine! I'll tell you!" I sighed. "The lockets the last thing her mother gave her. She doesn't remember her mother and she can't open it till her 18 birthday, which is today! That's all I know." I explained as he dropped the locket and ran off with the pack.

I grabbed the locket and placed back around her neck. She smiled holding the locket, she then started to wake up.

"Morning Elinor." I smiled as I moved some of her violet hair out of her face. "Morning, Liam." She smiled back. "Happy birthday, Elinor. So you gonna open it?" I asked as she nodded and opened the locket. It was a note.
