Chapter 14

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I just nodded my head yes. I didn't want to think he slipped up and told me.

I told him i needed to go down to the beach to take a walk to get some alone time. he understood where I was coming from, because I was kind of with 12 other people.

I kissed him goodbye and right when the kiss started to get heated, i had to stop myself. I had things to do. I went into the bathroom and put on a pair of shorts and jacket over my bikini top because it was starting to get colder.

On my way down there, I planned on what I was actually going to do when I got down to the beach & I did exactly that.

Matt had never really talked to me before. I mean sure, we've played air hockey at the hotel & have had small conversations, but we've never had a conversation where we've really bonded. He always seemed to shy to talk to me..

I got on the elevator and when the the floor that lead out to the beach. I walked about 40 feet before reaching the table that Matt & Carter were talking at.

"Hey Matt, can you take a walk with me real quick? I need to talk to you." I gave Carter "the look" so he knew that I needed to talk to Matt alone. He respected that & backed off.

Matt started blushing, reaaaaaal bad. "Sure, I'd be up for that." He swallowed hard and slowly got out of the chair.

For the first 30 seconds or so, it was dead silent. All you could hear was the sound of sand smacking up from under my flip flops. When we got towards the beach I stopped dead in my tracks. He stopped too.

We were right in front of the ocean. I took off my jacket because I started to get nervous and hot. I looked out at the water as I talked.

"Matt, why haven't you ever told me you have feelings for me?"

I felt Simone staring at me. I turned my head towards Matt and noticed him staring at my wrists. I completely forgotten why i ACTUALLY put on a jacket..

I acted like i didn't know he was looking and slipped back on my jacket. I repeated my question.

He looked at me & didn't say a word. I sat there.

I shifted my weight & without hesitation said l, " I think it's sweet you have a crush on me Matt. I'm not going to hold it against you. I'm not going to treat you any different okay?"

Matt's eyes sparkled as he looked up at me. "I know you're with Shawn & I respect it. I won't cause any problems between you guys either.."

"Thank you & Can I ask you a favor?" I asked a little bit slower than before.

"Anything."

"Don't tell Shawn, okay?" I signaled to my wrists.

He nodded & We both got up. I gave him a hug & thanked him. We walked back to the table and talked to Carter until it was dark.

I went back into Shawn & I's hotel room & slipped out of my swim suit and into my pajamas. Shawn was already asleep so I just curled up into bed next to him. He halfway woke up to kiss me on the forehead and tell me goodnight. He wrapped his arms around me and I drifted off to sleep.
