Chapter 6: The Nice Talk

Devon/Luna's POV

Alpheus was still holding my hands and he was holding it as if it would be gone, and guess what? I was blushing furiously

Yes, sure, I was reincarnated and I'm basically OLDER that him in soul and experience, but don't blame me..I'm still a 7 year old kid here!

We were heading to the garden.. The garden was my favorite place here in the palace because unlike any other gardens, it was magical..

We sat btly the end of the stairs and we were sitting beside each other, I could actually feel him near me because technically, he was.

Silence and awkwardness filled the atmosphere, no one dared to speak between the two of us. Other than I was too shy to talk, I knew he was still staring at me, and it made me self conscious.

"I'm Alpheus, I forgot to greet you a happy birthday, Princess" - I was shocked to hear his voice for the first time, it was clear that he was older that me, I just don't know if he's around 10 or 11 years old.

It was rude if I continue ignoring him so I slowly lifted my head to look at him, and my eyes landed on his cold dark eyes that calmed me, I tried to avert my gaze but his eyes were so enticing and ....beautiful

"Thank you, Prince Alpheus" I said, somehow I stopped myself from staring at him and dropped my gaze to my hands that was gripping at my dress

But he held my chin and made me look at him, and for the first time that night, I saw him smile... And what made me glad was the fact that he was smiling at me

while he was holding my chin, he kissed me on my forehead and I found the deed sweet. Instead of being shy, I smiled at him and he put his arms around my shoulders and I leaned on his shoulder

I knew starting from that day we were going to be friends...or more.

Then a beautiful blue butterfly flew above us

"Alpheus look, its a butterfly"- I reached for it and smiled that it rested on me, although not on my fingers but on my nose, the smile on my face can't be ripped off of my face

I heard him laugh and I looked at him, causing the butterfly to fly away, I chased the butterfly and jumped with my hands up when he pulled the back of my dress causing me to stumble back to him

I looked at him confused as to why he stopped me from chasing the blue butterfly "you're going to hurt yourself" I pouted again kowing well that he was stating the fact, but he just laughed and ruffled my hair which caused me to pout even more "so cute" he said and he pinched my cheeks, I blushed at that and sat down next to him again.

Not long, he took hold of my hand and we walked around the garden.

I always come here but it always never fails to amaze me, the garden is sorrounded by beautiful flowers with different beautiful colors

The trees seems so tall but still holds the incredible beauty making the garden look more magical.

I saw Alpheus pick a blue flower and inserted it behind my ears, I touched the flowers' soft petals, and it lingered on my fingers.

I didn't know what came to me that I touched his chest with my index finger and smiled playfully at him

"Tag! You're it!" I ran away from him, I looked at him and giggled to see he was dumbfounded, it took a few seconds for him to get that I was playing tag with him, and when he did, he smirked and ran at my direction

My eyes widened on how fast he was catching up with me, but I just giggled more and ran away from him, chuckles and giggles from us could be heard in the garden

I was enjoying his company...

We were once again inside the ballroom and the people were greeting me for the last time that night because the party has ended.

Part of me was relieved because I won't be sorrounded and stared by many people but a part of me was also disappointed because Alpheus and his Family will be returning to their kingdom, and I wasn't stupid to not know that we won't be seeing each other for a very long time

I looked at my parents while they were having a last talk with Alpheus' Parents, before bidding goodbye

"Luna dear? Why won't you say goodbye Alpheus?"- I shook my head, I didn't want to say goodbye, I didn't want him to go. But I knew inside me that he obviously have to go

My parents including Henry laughed at my action, they could feel it that I didn't want to he far away with Alpheus.

I just stared at my shoes playing with my hands when two hands held my shoulders forcing me to meet two dark eyes

Third Persons' View

The little Prince held the little girls' shoulders, forcing her to look deeply I to his cold dark eyes eyes.

"We'll see each other again, I promise. Don't forget about me Princess" the little Princess couldn't help but wish that he was telling truth

"You promise?"- the little Princess asked, the little Prince nodded and hugged the Princess, she hugged him back on his waist returning it with a tight embrace "I promise Princess"

Their Parents were watching them with a smile on their face, knowing well that the two liked each other but didn't have the courage to say it.

The simple gesture of the two made the two parents' heart flutter in happiness.

It wasn't long when it was time for them to go. Alpheus waved goodbye at them and kissed Luna on her forehead for the last time.

Luna waved goodbye to Alpheus and his parents before they disappeared inside the carriage with the Pegasus leading their carriage.

Luna couldn't do anything but watch them sadly disappear from her sight
