Reincarnated into a PRINCESS?

Chapter 10: Selection Games I

The wind blew softly as one by one students were called to fight each other.

Luna watch intently at the fighting students, she observed their techniques in fighting with and without weapons, she even watched how they use their abilities hoping that it'll be some help for her.

She was very busy watching the other students from outside the thick blue barrier that she didn't notice the pair of cold eyes that were void of emotion but surprisingly looking at her with surprise hidden in the depths of it.

Several students were called before her name was mentioned, she heard Thynna mutter a goodluck and she smiled to her in return.

Everyone on the podium stared at her, mesmerized and observing what she'll do next.

She was so beautiful that it made people think if was she really like them. She looked so stunning that someone might mistaken her as a goddess.

But as that thought floated, another conception appeared in their mind.

As of she was TOO beautiful to be able to compete. They knew she was inexperience and they didn't hide their sympathetic look in their face.

Instead of flushing she maintained her quiet and calm composure.

It was this time that she HAD to concentrate, she was competing with experienced students and she mustn't do something to embarrass her family because of her mistakes.

When she finally stepped foot inside the barrier she heard another name being called, her opponent.

Meice Daphix Princess of Braucath, specialties are ice and wind

The girl slowly walked to the arena and was taking her precious little time. She had short icy blue hair, her eyes held mischievousness, she was smirking at her as if taunting her that she was weak.

Luna couldn't help but also smirk, she knew that the girl was assuming she was weak. She was totally going to prove her wrong.

The barrier became more firm and they heard the bell ring stating the start of the competion.

They circled each other, waiting who would make the first attack. Luna wasn't going to risk doing the first attack, she knew her opponent was up to something and she wasn't going to run over it, she planned to back fire it to her.

Growing more impatient, the girl lift up her hands and created a spiky ice ball, she threw it to Luna but quickly dodged the attack.

Pissed of because she missed she tried attacking again using different methods but Luna always come up avoiding the attack every time and would step one closer to her.

It was a technique she observed when she was training with her father, its like she was allowing her opponent to attack her but not really wanting to be hit, it was a good method in testing weak points and blind spots.

After several attack more she finally discovered her weak points. Meice would always step her right foot back when she plans on attacking wind and ice spikes simultaneously to maintain balance, she would constantly twitch her eye if she was planning to trick her to attack.

Luna proved that her opponent was good in long distance attack but she was weak on close attacks and hand to hand combat, she discovered it when she tripped Meice and instantly fell but didn't have the time to hit with her spikes.

Luna took this as a chance and formed a large water ball above Meice's head

Kssshhhh

The water ball dropped on Meice's head making her appearance soaking wet.

The audience was dumbfounded. What Luna did was outrageous! It was her chance to finally attack Meice but instead she poured water to her.

Almost everyone looked at her as if she was a joke. Murmurs of disapproval was heard on the field, they were disappointed.

Meice on the other hand laughed at her

Meice lifted her hand ready to attack "Thats all you've got Princess? Pour water on my head? Haha! What a joke"

Luna maintained her calm composure and snapped her finger, instantly Meice's hand stopped mid air and felt the water turning solid

Wha-?? Im-impossible! Why can't I melt this?!

These thoughts kept running through her mind when she looked at Luna

"Did you really think I didn't get a BIG advantage on pouring that water to you?, the moment that liquid touched your skin, it immediately sipped through your pores, in less than 5 minutes your whole body will freeze up leaving you nothing but your frozen body."

Meice stilled after hearing Luna, there was no way she could melt the ice, I t wasn't an ordinary kind of ability. She looks at Luna with resentment as if silently stating that she won't give up

"I suggest you admit defeat before its too late to melt that ice spreading on your body, I hate to say this but you'll eventually ........ Die"

hssssss

Everyone in the field gasped at hearing the words that came out from her mouth, it was a dangerous move. If she doesn't accept that she lost, she will die, the audience silently prayed for Meice while Meice on the other hand screamed

"What?! No!! But that's against the rules!! You are not allowed to kill!"

Luna gave her a cold smile making not just Meice but everyone to feel a cold shiver run down their spine

"I know, but that won't happen if you admit defeat. So would you rather die and I get a punishment or You live and I win? Make up your mind, Princess"

Meice gritted her teeth almost drawing blood and slowly hung her head low, Luna smiled and snapped her fingers, in just a second Meice fell to the ground with shaking legs completely melting the ice inside her body.

Right after Luna was declared the winner, the mischievousness in her eyes quickly disappeared and went back to her usual shy type personality.

Everyone looked at her adoringly. Indeed, this Princess was not ordinary.
