Chapter 6: Inside Zarkon's Palace and What Secrets Does It Hold?

Lance ran to his room and struggled with trying to get his shit together. His hands were shaking and he didn't organize anything he was trying to pack.

He eventually ran out with a duffle bag full of clothes, food, and a special box. What is this box you ask? Well, I can't tell just yet and neither can Lance.

Lance ran back to his lion and put his gear on in a really big rush. He then realized that the castle was defenseless and ran back to the control room to put on the force field. Just then, the mice appeared and squeaked at him.

"Hey little dudes. Sorry I'm kinda in a rush right now but I need to ask you all a huge favor. When I leave and you see either mine or Keith's lion, disable the force field so we can come back in... ok??"

All the mice nodded their head and squeaked in approval. Lance smiled and gave a few pets for each of them and ran back to his lion.

"DON'T FORGET WHAT I SAID!!" Lance yelled back at them, just incase.

Lance ran to his lion and quickly got in. He powered his lion up and then in a second, he was catapulted into space.

"Ok Blue, can you try and find what direction Keith when in?" He asked his lion. It took some time but in less than 15 minutes, the coordinates were in and Lance knew exactly what way Keith went.

"Here I come Keith!" Lance told himself and turned his lion to the NorthEast.

{Keith's POV}

I knew I was close to Zarkon's Palace when I saw his army. They haven't spotted me yet and that's a good thing.. or they were commanded to hold their fire or something like that.

As I inched closer and closer to Zarkon's Palace, I could hear my own heart through my ears. Was going alone really a smart idea? Well, I can't turn back now. Plus, I need to do this. I have to do this, to save my friends.

Once I got to the entrance, Red automatically put the force field on. I smiled softly and I quickly turned my head forward. I started to walk, feeling all Zarkon's pawns stare at me. I felt really uncomfortable, but I kept on pushing forward.

"God... this place is like a maze.." I whispered. I looked around and when down one certain hallway. It was very dark and the lights that were on would flicker, which really annoyed me. I heard faint groans and hisses coming from further down the hallway, which made me even more curious.

I soon enough came across a big door. I hesitantly put my hand on the knob and turned it. I opened the door and I was in a mental state of shock. Not only were my friends being tortured, but so were other inocente creatures from other different planets. My eyes met with Shiro's and to be honest, he looked like he was going to cry.

"K-keith!" He whispered yelled, which got everyone else's attention.

"H-how did you get here?"

"What happened to you all these years?"

"Where were you?! We thought you were dead!"

All these questions were thrown at me like bullets. I tried calming everyone down but they kept asking away. God.. they're just like Lance sometimes.

'AGH!! Why am I thinking about that idiot right now??'

'Maybe because you still love him'

'What the hell?! W-who are you?! How did you get into my brain?!?!'

'Calm down! Damn... I really am annoying..'

'What do you mean be that?! You're not me!'

'Uh.. yea I am..'

'Ok prove it! What is my favorite thing to do?'

'Train in the training room, duh.'

'Oh.. my.. god.. you ARE me!!'

'Yea I know.. anyways we're getting way too off topic. Right now, you need to get everyone out of here before you get captured yourself.'

'And how exactly am I supposed to do that?!'

'Well, if you wait for a certain someone... he might be able to help you.. I mean... only if you want though.. you can do this all on your own and possibly get captured yourself but... it's your choice.'

'Yea... I really don't have the time to wait for Lance at the moment... the patrol guards might be coming any minute now to check up on the prisoners,'

'Well if you're smart enough, you might hide..'

'Hmmmm... ok fine... whatever.'

I then heard footsteps inch closer to the door. I looked around and spotted a desk. I ran behind the desk and crouched down. I put my finger over my lips and signaled everyone to be quiet and pretend I'm not there. Luckily they got the message and turned away.

"STOP YOU DIRTY CREATURE! THAT IS NO WAY TO TREAT A LADY!"

"LET GO OF HER!!"

"Donde está mi hijo puta?"

"Mamá!! Estoy aquí!"

Those voices.... I know those voices. No.. it can't be them!! They're still back on Earth!! How is this possible? That last voice... it can't be him right?!

The big door opened and I saw my mom, dad, Maria, and Lance standing there with their hands tied behind their backs. I placed my hands over my mouth as I tried not to let any tears escape.

'I have to do something! I can't just let my friends and now family be tortured,'

I just need to come up with a plan...
