I looked around inside my car, putting some music on while I waited. Now where the hell did I put my phone now? I looked into the compartment and sighed in relief. There sat my phone with a bunch of keys and some God, I thought it was gone.
I pulled out my phone and texted Nate, my little brother. He was the one helping with this cheesy romabtic stuff that sounds a bit cliché. Shocker, right? I guess not.
To: My Annoying Brother
Nate, make sure that everything is set by the time we get there, okay? I don't want you to ruin her day right now. After all, this is your first time trying to do your cliché little movie tricks, am I right?I then clicked send and waited for a response. But of course, I never knew that he was a fast typer.
From: My Annoying Brother
Yeah yeah sure. I'll set it up for you. I'll make sure not to mess with her day, alright? Calm down and try not to embarrass yourself in front of her, bro.I quickly rolled my eyes at that remark and smiled. I was born ready. I then looked back at the house and saw Jaycee saying goodbye at her mother.
God, I wasn't so sure about not being nervous.
I quickly forced a smile and went out of the car. She then turned around, smiling at me as she kissed her mother's cheek and walked towards me. I then raised her my shoulder as she links it into her.
"Ready to go, mi princesa?"
I asked her as she nodded. I then opened the door for her and she went inside as I slowly closed the door. Oh, how lucky I am right now.
I then went to the driver's seat and hopped in the car. Well, not literally. I then started the engine and I then heard her answer.
"Ready as I'll ever be."
She answers as I smiled as we then drove off. The drive was a bit silent. No one dared to talk. Not even I would dare break the silence.
"So, where are we going?"
But she did.
I just smiled as I ignored her answer. I focused my eyes on the road and I heard her whine. She poked my shoulder as I gave her the silent treatment.
"Come on superman, tell me."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. Never will I tell her. I didn't budge and she just sighed.
"Please?"
"No."
She then stopped and looked outside. I looked at her as her arms were crossed. Did I bore her? Did I make her angry? I pouted as I poked her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, mi princesa."
She then looks at me for a second before pouting back and looking away. Well, there goes the love. I looked back to the road and focused. I really need to practice talking to a girl.
As we arrived at our destination, I slowed down. I could see the shock from Jaycee's eyes as we stopped.
There were lights hanging on the tree beautifully as a table was left there under the tree. On the table was a lit candle and some printed menus for the date. The spot was also magnificent for the firework show. But to top it all off, there stood my brother, holding a guitar, waiting for us.
I don't want to brag but my brother was a very great guitar player than me. Wait, that's not bragging. That's like giving my brother the pleasure of calling him awesome.
I looked at Jaycee's reaction as she opened the door and went to say something.
"So, what do you think mi princesa?"
She then glanced at me and grinned.
"Wow, just wow."
