We need to talk

Lily's POV

I gasped. How had I not seen him standing there!? I rushed out the room, awkwardly dodging Dylan's arm that shot out to try and grab me. I raced into the forests in an attempt to hide. I sank onto the floor under a large tree leaning against its trunk, and cried. There I stayed and eventually, cried myself to sleep.

I woke up on a comfy bed. I sat up suddenly. I hadn't fallen asleep here! I was in Dylan's bed. Wait, where was Dylan? I turned to see Dylan, who was lying next to me, stirring from his sleep. Taking in my confused face he simply said "I found you in the forest, fast asleep so I bought you here." He shrugged it off. "I, erm, am going for a shower..." I stammered but Dylan caught my wrist before I could go. "We need to talk." I looked down to the floor and sat down on the bed again. I'd never noticed this amazing pattern on the floor before! It was actually rather amazing! I felt the bed move as Dylan sat up and drew me closer to him. "Tell me what happened." When I stayed silent, he added "please Lily". I sighed. There was no escaping it.

"Well, he, ummmm, Alpha Jack, he-heusedtorapemeandthenpunishandtorturemewhenIwasn'twillingtohavesexwithhim..." I rushed out quietly. I looked up to see Dylan's eyebrows were furrowed as he tried to process what I'd just said. He must have failed because he asked me what an earth I'd just said. I took a deep breath before telling him what I'd withheld from him when he'd first asked me about my time with Alpha Jack. "Jack used to rape me violently whenever he wanted and would beat me when I wasn't willing; which was never. He used to force me to pleasure him and would use rape as well as violence as a punishment when I tried, and failed, to escape; on many occasions."

I heard Dylan's sharp intake of breath but he didn't say anything. He simply gathered me into his arms and it felt right. I felt safe.

Today, I am preparing for a massive party that will take place tonight. It is a party where new Luna's and or Alpha's are introduced to each other. Arianna has been helping me get ready all afternoon. She was currently doing my make up; mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and some blusher (although my cheeks are naturally flushed). Finally, she lifted the cover off the mirror and I gasped. She had managed to make me look... Stunning! I was wearing a skin tight, figure hugging, bright blue dress that came down to mid thigh. Arianna had kitted me out with the same, stunning shade of blue: a shawl to drape around my shoulders, dangling, glass earrings, high heeled shoes and a purse. My hair was drawn into a bun on the top of my head with a few strands hanging loose which had been curled. "Wow! Thank you so much Arianna! I love it!" I bring her into a massive hug in which she delicately slipped out, chuckling. "No problem. Now careful your outfit!" She started shooing me out the door. Taking a last glance at my reflection, I made my way down to Dylan who was waiting by the front door. When he saw me, a massive smile spread across his face. He came up to me and wrapped an arm around my waist. "You look beautiful!" He purred into my ear. I just blushed. Tonight was going to be good. I just knew it.
