Lily's POV

Sighing, I followed them. They led me outside to a different, smaller wooden shack. When we got there, Jack unlocked the door and pushed me inside. Immediately, a bundle threw itself at me. I looked down to see a 5yr old girl clinging to my leg. "Rose!?" I gasped, stumbling backwards.

*5yrs ago*

"It's a girl" announced the nurse. Mum was lying on the hospital bed, breathing heavily. "Rose. Her name is Rose.' Announced my mum. Rose was given to Dad to hold first and then he beckoned me over. I held her in my arms and she was so beautiful. So perfect. And my sister.

*1yr later, 2 months before I was taken*

I could hear Mum and Dad arguing downstairs in the kitchen. I was getting Rose, who was 1 by now, to bed. She may only have been 1, but we were inseparable. We were more than sisters. She loved me and looked up to me and I returned her love.

Dad stormed up the stairs and snatched Rose, who had almost been asleep, away from me. She woke immediately and started crying realising she was no longer in my arms. "Dad!" I exclaimed. "Shut up" he snapped. Then, he gathered a few things and left. I never saw Rose, or Dad, again.

*Present Day*

"Lily! It's really you! I've missed you so much!" I start uncontrollably crying and pick her up, cuddling her close. She was suddenly snatched out of my arms and I remembered Jack and Collin were still there. Rose's broad smile was replaced with tears starting to collect and I couldn't bear it. I growled at Jack, who was now holding Rose. I didn't trust him. Collin slapped me for my attitude and Rose gasped. I smiled at her reassuringly to show her I was fine and turned to Collin. "Please?" I whispered. "Please let me hug and hold her." I begged. He narrowed his eyes at me but granted me permission. "Sit down. W'ell talk." I nodded and tucked Rose onto my lap, her head against my chest. "Is your cheek okay?" she whispered. I smiled to myself. She's always been so sweet. "Yes thank you, sugar plum." I whispered back, using my old nickname for her causing her to smile widely. I stroked her hair gently. What was she doing here? She was too young.

"Let's start from the beginning." Collin started. "As I said earlier, your mother found her mate, my dad, and had me and Jack. Then, she left us for another man, your father. When your father left her, she tried to meet up with her mate, my father while you were at school. He refused her and kept us away from her. We blame you for how he changed when she left and for not having a mother. As we grew, we started to blame you for taking mum away. When you were with Alpha Jack a little while ago," he smirked at me "we didn't know you were her daughter. We only found out once you'd been rescued by that stupid cousin if mine. Of course, because he was a son from my father's side, not mothers, it means you are not blood related. We decided to take you and then I discovered he was holding Jack prisoner, my beloved brother so I thought why not kill two birds with one stone? Just before we set off, we found Rose here and learnt who she was. Your sister. We took her and left her here then came for you and Jack." At least she hasn't been here for years I told myself until another thought coursed through me. It send shivers down my spine and I started to shake. "Wait. You didn't..." I let the sentence hang and looked meaningfully at them. They knew exactly what I meant. "Relax. No... Not yet." Relief washed through me. It was my responsibility to keep her safe... Even at the price of my own.

"How did you remember me Rose? You were only 1." I asked, curious. "I never forgot you Lil. I loved you so much and then you were, you w-were just g-g-gone." I enclosed her in a hug as her bottom lip began to tremble. "Hush hush. I'm here now baby. I'm not going anywhere without you ever again." I soothed quietly into her ear.

After such a short time, I was dragged away from her. But, I was so happy! She was alive! She hadn't been harmed. She remembered me.
