Chapter 9: Tell Me More

(Continued from Chapter 8)

I glanced up at Harry, I was a bit shocked. I mean... "I love you" meant... I love you. And that meant... well, alot. I'd only knew him a few days, he'd only known me the same. Wasn't 'I love you' a bit... drastic? I took a moment to think it over while Hary's face turned quickly to panic, I suppose I was taking too long to reply. Instead, I took his hand and said "I think... I love you too." And I meant it. At least, I think I did. I've never felt this way about a guy. It was all too new to me, I'd never had many relationships and the one that really mattered to me was between cooking and I. He smiled with relief and sighed, pleased.

The sun was out, bright and shining, beating on the back of my neck. I couldn't even remember what day it was. I lost track of time when I was with Harry. I noticed that I was fidgeting with my rolling pin charm bracelet., rolling it between my fingers. "I'm really happy that your not just toying with me, y' know?"  Harry looked at his shoes. "What do you mean?" I questioned, caught a little of guard. "Well, most girls... don't want to get to know the real me. They just want the fame. It's not the greatest... I'm a normal lad who's got different emotions and opinions, right." Harry looked off to the side. I never really thought about the fame until last night with the mob. I guess it would be pretty hard to decipher who would use you and who wouldn't, I thought. "I'd never use you."  I looked up at him, waiting for his eyes to look back at mine. "I know." he nudged my shoulder, playfully. "Hey, what took you so long to notice that I was throwing pebbles at your window like Romeo so romantically?!" Harry laughed, changing our conversation to a lighter subject.

"I noticed right away! I just couldn't let Jana or Angelica notice."

"Jana?"

"Yeah, Angelica unexpectedly brought over a friend of hers from Slavia." I emphasized the word 'Slavia' rolling my eyes.

"Angelica seems... er"

"Bitchy?" I raised my eyebrow, only half joking. "Well, I wouldn't say that." He said, biting his lip, forcing back a smile. "I would!" I replied. He laughed and then said "Should we go somewhere?" I peeked over the ledge of the window, Jana and Angelica were talking in the kitchen, moving their hands as they spoke. I looked back at Harry, replying with "Let's do it."

We were making our way to Harry's car when Liam came rushing out the door. "Where on earth are you going?" Liam questioned us.

"Um, we were just gonna..."

"No, no, no! We gotta go! We have that interview with Alan in London in a couple of hours!" Liam explained, grabbing Niall by the cuff of his sleeve as he passed by the door. "Let's go!" Liam was obviously the organizer of the group. Liam ran back into the house, running down the hall.

"I am SO sorry." Harry looked down and shook his head, ashamed. "No, it's totally fine!" I replied, but I was a tad disappointed. "How can I make it up to you?" He asked. "Simple! Take her with us!" Louis called from the doorstep, straightening his suspenders. "I mean, your not just gonna ditch her, are ya?!" He added, smiling and looking at me. I blushed... yet again. "Well, erm. Of course not." Harry said, straightening his posture. "Well, then! It's settled! Alright, Laila, get in the car!" Louis took my hand and showed me to the car, down the driveway. Well, that was spontaneous. "There you go, love." He helped me into the seat. "Uh, thank you... so much." I smiled at him, before adding...

"Er, who is Alan? If I might ask."

"Alan Carr! Chatty Man!" Louis exclaimed, giving me his best jazz hands.
