~THE TALE OF BURN~

First Moon

There was only darkness.
Pitch black as the humans roamed,
looking for home,
yet only finding darkness.
There were only shadows.
As the creatures pranced,
frantic to find,
something that didn't make them feel blind.
But they only found darkness.
Even the night seemed to long, something that made them dissapear.
Something that shone brighter than the tons of nights,
that turned to their days.
The air thick and clouded,
destroyed their light,
making it hard to fight,
the fears the crept along the walls.
For it caged them in,
all fours hit the ground,
killing them from the inside.
But the darkness remained, eating away,
until there was no 'sun'.
Only darkness.
But then in the sky,
rose a new light,
shining our world once again.
The first moon,
bright like honeysuckle,
like a hope that sparked,
tore the world apart.
