Act 3: Advance

THE BLOOD FILLED GOBLET SHOOK VIOLENTLY.
Lilian stared at Alexander hungrily from under her lashes as she sipped from the golden cup.
Her nails gently tapped on the table as the wind swayed her long blonde hair gently.
"Lili. What?" Alexander asked, his eyes staring at Lilian.
Lilian basked in the attention as her red lips slowly spread into a killer smile, exposing her fangs.
"Alexander dear, vampires need more than you allow."
Lilian grinned as she flattened her dress, destroying all the creases.
Alexander glared at Lilian as his brows creased together.
"We've been over this."
Lilian grunted in despair as she stood up, her heels making her grow an inch.
"But we need more, you can't do this-"
Alexander glared at Lilian, his eyes glowing red.
"If I can survive, you can too."
With a swish of Alexander's cape, the world around Lilian slowly dissapeared.

Lilian walked in with an unsatisfied expression.
Her hands were shoved into her pockets as she strode into the bar, carefull not to touch anyone.
Her eyes were trained on the girl sitting on the stool, drowning in her cape.
"Celosia. How'd you know I'd fail?"
Celosia turned around with a small grin, as she stared at Lilian with her amber coloured eyes.
"Just a feeling I guess."
Lilian whined in annoyance as she plopped down onto the stool beside Celosia, careful to hide her eyes.
"So hungry. All of us are."
Celosia smiled sadly as she hugged Lilian, giving her a red apple.
"Will a story help?" Celosia asked, her eyes dancing with mischief.
Lilian nodded as she bit into the apple, taking time to slowly eat it.
"Today when I was out, I was telling a story you know the one about the prince with no face."
Lilian nodded in understanding.
"Then when I was finishing up, I saw a man looking at me, and he had a silver mask on with rubies printed in."
Lilian's eyes widened as she opened her mouth to take another bite.
"Are you serious?" Lilian questioned. "What did you do?"
Celosia shrugged offhandedly as she fiddled with the corner of her cloak.
"I screamed and ran."
Lilian smiled. "Good girl. Doing what I told you."
Lilian finished off the apple before beckoning Celosia to follow.
Her grin only widened once she watched the squeamish expression on Celosia's face.
"C'mon. I won't bite." Lilian mused, her laughter bouncing off the walls.
Celosia found it hard to keep up as Lilian climbed higher and higher continuously.
"Aren't you tired?" Celosia panted, her legs shaking.
Lilian smiled back down with a toothy grin."We're almost there."
Celosia sucked in a tight breath as the stairs twirled higher and higher.
Lilian's long legs stretched on until they reached the last step.
"We're here."
Celosia dragged herself up as she looked around. "Oh my god."
The small room was covered with books filled from the top to the bottom.
"Can I read all of them?" Celosia whispered flabbergasted. Lilian stifled a laugh as she waved around the room.
"Yeah why else would I have brought you here?"
Celosia's high pitched squeal filled the room as she began piling the books, choosing and discarding.
Lilian sat in the small chairs as she watched Celosia with adoration.
Her black hair was flat against her back as her fire coloured eyes frantically darted around the room.
Lilian smiled as she picked up her wine glass, and filled it up with ruby red blood.
She slowly brought the brim of the cup to her lips as she slowly sipped.
The liquid danced with her tounge as she drifted into her thoughts, the blood coursing through her body.
"Lilian? Are you here?"
Lilian instantly  snapped back to reality as her eyes darted to the owner of the voice. There at the doorway stood Alexander with a small frown on his face.
Lilian abruptly stood up as she strode towards Alexander.
"woah woah. Calm down I just came to..." As Alexander's voice slowly trailed off, his face slowly transformed into one of shock.
"What are you doing here?" Lilian demanded, as she straightened to her full height. "Alexander I asked you, what are you doing here?"
Alexander stared at Lilian bewildered, only for his eyes to dart back at Celosia.
Alexander waved to his eyes the back at Celosia, his expression confused.
"Lilian. What have you been doing?"
Lilian stiffened as she rapidly thought of an excuse.
"I-"
Alexander shook his head.
"Don't want to hear it. Tell me; what is she?"
