"HEY!" I heard a voice screaming at me. I turn around and I see a girl running at me. As quick as I can I step to the side and squeal.
"You found my house very quick," I said," It's kind of scary." I mumbled to myself.
"Thanks you're very kind to me already." She said,irritated. She wasn't even in my house yet and I already made her mad, I can tell this is gonna go horrible.
"I have a list of jobs that are hiring in this area." She shows me the list.
"Is it front and back?" I asked. She nods.
"Come right in I don't want you to be cold." I open the door and motion for her to come inside. She walks in and I follow behind her.
"Do you want anything?" I asked.
"No, It's fine I don't need anything." She replied. I sit down and then she does. She places the paper on the table.
"What are you looking for in a job?" She asks. SHE SOUNDS LIKE A PERSON ASKING ME IF I'M READY FOR ONE!
"Uh well something that can please my family?" I answered.
"Well yeah I knew that,but like what do you think you would be best at?" She asked. She's asking so much in the first I dunno 5 minutes?
"Uhm..well I want to be a cashier as my first job." I said.
"GREAT!" She exclaimed. I leaned back in my chair from how unexpected that was.
"Do you have a pen?" She asks. I stand up and run around looking for a pen. I run upstairs and grab one from my desk, then I run back down.
"Here," I place hand her the pen,"what do you need it for?" She ignores me and she starts underlining some jobs. I don't wanna be rude so I just sit there smiling.
"Underlining jobs that are cashiers." She answered. I didn't think of that which is pretty stupid because it's like the easiest thing to do in this situation. She shows me the list and points to the top one.
"This?" She asks. I look at it and it says, Cashier - 1 mile away from A's home, Wegmans.
"Yeah sure!" I said excited.
"Okay now you need to make an application!" She said with joy. The smile I had on my face was gone and then I started to scream inside my head. I NEVER THOUGHT I'LL GET THIS FAR I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY NEED OR WHAT THEY WANT I JUST NEED TO GET A JOB BUT MAYBE I'M NOT READY AND HOW WILL I GET TO WORK IF I DON'T HAVE A CAR. She waves her arm in front of me.
"You awake? Hello? Boo?" She tries making me come back to life. I shake my head.
"Yeah I'm alive mhm yep a doodles yep yep yeppers!" I said. She looks at me weird like I was an alien, sort of.
"Well I think that's all we needed to talk about right?" She asked. I wanted to say yes but a part of me wanted to say,"We should grab lunch sometime." I nod and stand up from my seat.
"Thank you for the help." I said while opening the door.
"Bye!" She said and waved goodbye.
