Ahhh these kids are driving me crazy. I haven't babysat my cousins in a long time but my aunt got a new job last week and wants me to babysit her kids 3 days a week. Candace is the youngest and currently she is drawing on the wall.
"Candace stop drawing on the wall" I say desperately. I need get the pizza, that I am making for lunch, in the oven.
"Hey Candace do you want to help make pizza with me?" I try bribing her she usually like baking with me. Crap where are Tom and Jay! Tom was the oldest at 8 years old.
After me and my picked them up from daycare and school I started lunch and had them all watching TV but a few minutes go by and they are bored again. Ok pizza is in the oven, I run over and scoop Candace up surveying the damage. Whatever I'll clean it up later.
"Bad girl dont ever do that again" I say sternly
"Ok" She says smiling innocently. People always think she is so cute and shy but when she is comfortable around people she goes crazy. But seriously this kid can get out of anything.
" Tom stop it" "Ha I got you" I set Candace down and ran towards the voices where I see tom and Jay wrestling. I nudge Jay who is underneath Tom. They both look at me in surprise and get up quickly.
" Remember what your mom said."
"No wrestling in the house" They said together looking guiltily at each other. I dragged them back to the TV room.
"Stay here" I said waiting for them to nod. I turn around "Uh Candace where are you sweetie"
I hear the front door softly click shut. I gasped and yanked the door open. Candace is standing near the road messing with the little bit of snow there is.
Aaaaand there is a car coming. Didn't my aunt teach her not to play by the road I moaned. Why is this happening to me.
"Candace get over her right now!" I scream frantically and run over to her. My aunt lives in town right next to a road where they go pretty fast.
She looks up thinking this is a game and starts crossing the street. Oh. Ma gosh. her mom is going to kill me. She makes it across safely I sigh. How was that even possible. I wait for the car to pass a run at full speed across and pick her up. Once She is finally back on the right side I start panicking.
"Candace omgosh are you ok! How could you do that. What were you thinking!" I breathe heavily. I hug her. "Never ever do that again without someone."
Suddenly I feel like I'm being watched. I glance up and see Alex jogging this way. Ok so I bet you're wondering what happened last night at the movie. He eventually pulled me closer when a character died. After, Bianca volunteered Alex to bring me home. Other than that nothing very exciting happened.
Alex starts walks toward us.
"Hey Are you OK? I was doing homework and saw you run and get her. What are you doing here? " He rambled.
"Hey! No it's fine I'm babysitting my cousins and were fine." I gesture towards Candace who is now sitting on the ground.
"Alex!" I hear two voices yell. Tom and Jay run out here and strangle Alex in a hug.
"Hey guys" He says hugging them back
"Guys get off of him. Sorry about that" I apologize while pulling them off of him
"It's fine i'm used to it." He reassures. "So do you babysit them often?"
"Oh. Not usually but my aunt just got a new job so I am going to be watching them 3 or 4 times a week." What why did I just tell him all that.
