You look pretty today
Darling, you do!
Oh what a charm, you are!
I love that dress on you

I love your skin- so silky, so soft
Sing again, sing again! I love the sound of your voice
Can I hold your hand?
Your eyes—so perfect! Its color—I admire

Their voices are ringing
Too loud in my head
I can't hear the in betweens
Of their shallow breaths
I can't even hear mine
For they're screaming too loud!

They voice out the words
The ones I wish to hear
Praises- what a joy
If these would come from my peers

But then again
They're only words
I could only wish to hear

;

They're not the only words I wish to hear.
