Tone down your heavy sighs
And your loud whimpers, and awful cries
It is not a fault of mine to have broken your heart

You cried for me not to leave you tonight
Stop the crying, you shouldn't have held on too tight
I don't love you anymore, I know you've heard me say
So stop, just stop, begging for me to stay
And you say your heart is breaking
And it is all because of my doing
But I am not sorry, I don't think I should be

Why should I take the blame
It was you who had gone insane
Over me
I didn't wish you to be
