Harry's POV-
After the events that went on last night, I let her sleep as long as she wanted to. I felt guilty for being so hard on her, and treating her like dirt when she did nothing wrong. I had to run out for a bit, and I wanted to let her know.
I slowly opened the door to her room. I saw her still asleep in her bed. I can't deny that she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She wasn't the type that you just wanted to bang, she was the girl that you truly wanted to love. She looked peaceful, not scared. I felt my heart hurt at the thought of disturbing her.
It's true, she is only supposed to be my pawn. But I can't help but lose myself in her beauty. I hate the thought of seeing her with other guys, and I hate knowing she's scared.
"Rosalee...Rosalee wake up.." I gently shook her. Her eyes scrunched together before they sweetly fluttered open. I could see her grow nervous when she saw me sitting next to her on the bed.
"I made you breakfast this morning, it's my apology for last night." I told her, only receiving a nod in response. I missed the sound of her voice.
"I have to go out for a few hours, so you'll be here on your own. Be good, remember the rules." I warned her before getting up and heading towards the door.
"I just wanna go home..." I heard her whisper. I know she didn't intend for me to hear.
"This is your home now."
~~
It's been hours so far at the warehouse. The boys are beginning to get on my nerves, they are bickering over pointless things.
I checked my phone to see that no alarms have been set off, Rosalee is being good. I went back to some of the papers I had laying on my desk, drowning out the guys.
"Harry, your phone's buzzing." I heard Liam speak to me, bringing me out of my work.
"Fück, she's gotten out!" I screamed as I jumped out of my seat. All of the boys followed my lead as we exited the warehouse. I gave them all instructions of where to look. I made Leo go with me so I could make sure he didn't try to do anything smart with her. I went back to the house to check the surrounding wooded area of the house. I could tell Leo was both annoyed with me, and worried about Rosa. He shouldn't be worried about her though, she's mine to worry about. It was my plan to take her, she's my pain in the äss, no one else's.
We had walked pretty deep in the woods now, I was beginning to get scared that I had lost her. But then, in the distance I could hear a faint sound of sobbing. I signaled for Leo to be quiet, as we walked in that direction. I soon saw her on the ground holding her ankle, crying 'ow' in between her sobs. As I got closer, she saw us approaching. Her eyes grew wide before she quickly sprang up and started running away again. Well, as fast as she could since she hurt herself.
Leo began to run but I stopped him, telling him to stay here. He let out an angry huff, but obeyed me. I began to jog after her, she wasn't getting anywhere anytime soon. Once I caught up to her, I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her close to me.
"No!" She sobbed and stretched out an arm like she was reaching for something. Knowing that she was injured, I lifted her up into my arms bridal style. She began to struggle in my hold, trying anything she could do to get away.
"I told you to be good Rosalee, you didn't listen. You'll never get away, I'll always find you." After my words came out she stopped struggling and completely let go. Her head was on my shoulder as she sobbed. Her hands were on my chest as she gripped onto my shirt. Once we reached Leo, I told him to inform the others that I have her.
When I finally got her back to the house, I dismissed Leo and the others who were looking for her. I carried her into the house, and sat her down on the sofa in the living room. She has stopped crying for the most part, but she was still breathing heavily, and tears would still fall every once in a while. I instructed her to stay put as I went and found the kitchen door open. The way she escaped. I quickly shut it and locked it back up. I mentally noted to myself to get stronger locks.
I walked back out to Rosalee, her eyes held sadness.
"Why'd you run Rosalee?" I asked her as I crouched down in front of her. Her bottom lip began to quiver before I gently placed my hand on her knee, slowly rubbing circles on the side of it.
"I-I... I wanna g-go h-h home..." She forced out, her bottom lip still quivering. I let out a sigh as I reached up to wipe away her tears.
"I know I haven't been easy on you, I'm trying to get better. But this is your home now, I'm not letting you go back to California. Stop trying to run, you won't get away sweetheart." Her face dropped.
"What did you do to your ankle?" I asked her trying to focus on something else.
"I-I Tripped.." She stuttered. I tried to be as gentle as I could while I examined her foot. She would wince out in pain from time to time.
"You didn't break it. You need to ice it, and stay off of it for a while. Stay here while I go get you ice." I hurried off to get her ice. She let me place it on her foot without a fight.
A few minutes had passed before she decided to speak.
"Will I ever get to go back home?" I tried to keep my patience, I closed my eyes for a moment and took a deep breath.
"This is your home now Rosalee..."
