EDITED! (5/12/2020)
That night, Venoct had slept with her brother under a big oak tree as they caught up on their lives. They talked about everything that had happened to them. Orochi had included his encounter with Nate and the enormous monster, Red J and Venoct told him about Mighty Dog. She was also extremely curious about the Yo-Kai Watch that Orochi told her about.
*Flashback*
"He has a Yo-Kai Watch. It's a watch that lets the possessor see yo-kai. I've seen him summon yo-kai from the watch and they fight with him to defeat a troublesome yo-kai. I've also seen some regular people or even other yo-kai get possessed by a yo-kai." Orochi had explained as he drew the Yo-Kai Watch in a clear patch of dirt.
"Really? Do you think I'll get to meet him? If I wanted to meet him, would I have to possess someone?" Venoct asked with wide blue eyes. She looked excited. Orochi laughed as Venoct waited for an answer.
"I'm sure you're going to meet him. Although I don't know what would happen if you possessed anyone. I mean, I've never possessed anyone so I wouldn't know. I met Nate Adams, but I didn't possess anybody." Orochi answered.
"Do you think I could make someone a great fighter if I possess them?" Venoct asked, her blue eyes ecstatic with excitement.
"Let's not do that unless we absolutely have to." Orochi said, laughing.
Venoct turned her blue eyes to the dark inky sky.
"Hey, Orochi. Do you think that one of those stars could be Mom?" she asked with stars reflecting off of her eyes.
Orochi stared at her and then turned his golden gaze to the same sky his sister was looking at. The sky wasn't completely back; there were stars that gleamed through the dark purples of the clouds. "I don't know. It could be. Thousands of stars are up there." Orochi replied with a shrug.
"If the stars represent every soul in heaven, does that mean that thousands of people die every day? Look at the stars. There's so many of them. What if they are souls and some of them died too early? Some of those stars could be children, maybe even newborns. Couples could be separated when they go to heaven. Mom could be up there with all those souls. She might not be able to find Dad." Venoct whispered as she looked sad at the thought.
Orochi internally panicked at the sight of his sad sister, trying to think of a way to comfort her. He thought back to when they were kids and what their mother did whenever either of them got sad. Their mother could hug them and run her fingers through their hair. She sings lullabies and songs about rain and they would eventually fall asleep. Orochi tried his mother's method; he hugged Venoct gently and ran his fingers through her spiked hair. "Don't cry, I'm sure Mom and Dad are together in heaven. They're probably proud of you." Orochi said as he stroked his sister's spiky hair. Venoct hummed contentedly and laid her head down on her brother's lap.
Venoct looked into her brother's golden eyes and she couldn't help but smile. The dragon siblings sat in comfortable silence, Orochi running his fingers through his sister's hair as she sighed contentedly. Venoct was lying down on her side, her head on her brother's lap. She turned to look up at Orochi and frowned as she noticed that he never really showed his face that much. His scarf was positioned over his mouth and she couldn't really get a good look at his face.
"Hey Orochi."
Orochi hummed in response, still running his fingers through her hair.
"Why are you more closed off to the world? I can't fully see your face, you're more quiet and you barely talked to anyone but me. Why?" Venoct asked.
