It's been years since the incident at my old village, there was a bounty on my head back then but I'm not sure if they still do. I don't know how many years have gone by all that I know is that it's been more than twenty years and I haven't aged a bit.

Time doesn't seem to affect me nor do I care. I've never known my parents, and I sure as hell don't miss my foster parents. Although years have passed I still get nightmares from that one night in my village. I've spent the past years wandering through forests, rarely do I go into a village or town. I don't have money to buy anything, I usually get my food from plants but if I was lucky I would be able to go fishing.

I don't know what I am nor why I have these powers, all I know is that somehow and in someway I am cursed. Cursed to forever walk this world alone not being able to feel the warmth of summer or spring. Every time I would encounter a beautiful flower it would only wither away. I've thought of death many times but every time I'm about to kill myself I think of his voice and no matter how many years passed I still yearn for it and it gives me the strength to live on.

Over the years I learned so many things about this curse of mine. Everywhere I go snow would follow like I'm trapped in a snowglobe. When I would get upset, sad, or scared a blizzard would appear. And when I feel threatened ice would shoot right out of my hands just like that night at my old village where I killed everyone. I can't say that I haven't killed anyone since then. I tried stealing bread once and when the baker was about to hit me I accidentally killed him. Suddenly the whole country was suspecting me as a witch or a curse.

I knew that if I stayed longer then things would only get worse. I'm not talking about them killing me, I'm talking about me killing them. I don't have control over this bloody curse of mine. It was like the ice was protecting me but little did it know that it was slowly killing me from the inside. I've never known the meaning of home for a very long time. Nor do I know the feeling of love and being loved in return. It was something that I may never ever experience in my whole life. That's if I die, I may live forever. Dying sounds a whole lot better than being alone and cursed forever.

Chased out of my own home and finally chased out of my own country. I quickly fleed to Iceland where I was able to sneak my way on a boat that carried supply to Iceland. I chose Iceland because the name kind of suited my curse. Greenland would've been better but I had little survival there. And although everywhere I walked snow would follow I still loved being in areas where I could witness summer or spring, even if it meant watching from the distance.

Creatures that only I can see now cower in fear when I walk near them. So not only do humans fear me but so does these creatures.

It's been days now that I was wandering the open plains of Iceland. A few fruits were in my small sack bag that I stole from the ship I snuck on. It wasn't long till I ran into trouble. I was walking uphill until I saw a man wearing a dark brown cloak and as he turned to look at me I noticed that he had a cloth covering his face that I couldn't see any facial features except for red eyes.

I took a step back having a bad feeling about this situation.

"Who are you?" the deep gurgling voice asked.

"I... I..." I couldn't form any words. It's been a while since I have spoken or used my voice. Even without seeing his facial features I could feel a wide smirk plastered on this stranger's face. I could hear it in his voice as he spoke: "You must be new here." As he added a creepy chuckle at the end. The hairs on the back of my neck stood in discomfort.

He then leaned forward and literally sniffed the air as if he was sniffing me. I was growing more and more uncomfortable by the second. "So you're not entirely human." if the situation wasn't discomforting then I would've questioned him but I was utterly scared at how menacing his presence was, and how his eyes stared at me like I was his prey. Suddenly the wind started picking its pace up, a scene that I'm all too familiar with.

"And nobody knows you're here... good. You look delicious to eat!" he suddenly ripped off the cloth from his face revealing a large mouth with sharp inhuman teeth. I screamed loudly out fear as a blizzard appeared instantly. He lunged towards me and I was able to jump out of the way, for some reason I was too scared to raise my hands. I've never encountered someone who's not human attacking me. The creatures around me tend to just keep their distance.

I scrambled up as I tried running which made me drop my bag of fruits. I sobbed uncontrollably as the stranger was chasing after me easily catching up to me. Even with a curse like this that has killed many I still find myself being the prey. "You're mine!" he growled as he was about to leap right on top of me. Unluckily, I fell to the ground and right as I turned my head to look back at him a white blur dashed in front of me. I heard somebody mumble a few words then suddenly a golden light appeared out of nowhere.

"Begone! Child of darkness!" the smooth voice shouted at the stranger making the stranger disappear out of thin air. Before I could lay eyes on my savior I suddenly felt something soft between my feet, something warm. It wasn't warm like the summer back in my country but it was warmer than the snow I've always felt. I looked down to see that the snow that surrounded me for years was gone. Like it never existed, I even noticed that the blizzard was gone as well.

"Who are you?" the smooth voice asked but I was too engrossed by the warm feeling. I smiled widely as happy tears filled my eyes. "It's been so long..." I whispered enough for my savior to hear. I kneeled down to the ground and started touching the grass. "It's been years since I've been able to feel the softness of the grass," I said as the tears ran down my face.

I looked up at my savior and felt every inch of my body grew warm. It was a man who looked a few years older than me--I'm possibly older since I haven't aged a day. But he was incredibly handsome with blond hair in two loose strands and striking blue eyes. He had fair skin and wore a white cloak with grey designs on the edges.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

I was at lost for words but I gave him a nod. He sighed in relief and said "I'm so glad that I saved you on time." as he smiled.

I had a million questions but I couldn't voice any of them because I was too caught up with the soft feeling of grass and the slight chill in the air. It was warm to me after being in snow for far too long. And I had this man to thank for... his presence made me feel warmth... and it seem all too familiar.
