When was it that I started feeling like this?
I may turn everything around me freezing cold but there's a burning fire deep down from within me. A fire that Lindel had started, a will to keep living, to keep fighting. I remember when life meant nothing and I wanted nothing more than to escape this cold reality.
Elias managed to help get back home, yes, home.
As much as Elias wanted to help he had his own battles to fight. The moment I stepped foot onto Iceland what I saw shook me to my very core. Red. That's what I could only see for miles. Fire. The scattered trees laid lifeless on the ground burning up in flames, the grass turned black as a few flames laid across from it. But the one thing that made it even worse were the few bodies of dragons, baby dragons lying lifeless on the ground.
I held in the tears that threatened to spill out. As I started making my way towards where Lindel always was. I covered my mouth and nose to keep myself from inhaling the smoke. My heart started hammering in my chest from the anticipation. Is everyone dead? What happened to Lindel? Although I'm imagining the worse I trust Lindel. He wouldn't let anything happen to his precious dragons, and he was strong enough to protect them.
The moment I finally got over the hill to the tree where Lindel always was. My heart stopped for a split second, and that split second was the longest second of my life.
A cage made out of fire surrounded some of the dragons even Nevin. Some of them were profusely bleeding and others seemed to be injured. It looked as if they were used as hostage. On the opposite side kneeled a beaten up Lindel who seemed to have surrendered in exchange for the lives of the dragons. His head was bleeding and he was holding onto his arm. In the middle stood a tall skinny guy with long dark red hair. He had a sinister look with shark sharp teeth smiling as if he achieved the world.
In his hands was a spear made out of fire and he was about to pierce Lindel's chest.
I felt power like never before.
I screamed "No!" As I outstretched my hand and shot out ice. A large barrier of ice separated Lindel from evil shark fire dude.
3rd person POV.
Everyone was surprised by Yuki's sudden arrival but before anyone could process that thought. Yuki slid on her ice barrier as if she was snow boarding and appeared right in front of the enemy her eyes seemed to glow a bright light, her hands and feet covered in a layer of ice. Her hair swaying from the wind made her look menacing which caught her enemy off guard.
"Leave Lindel alone." her voice seemed to echo, and before her enemy could react Yuki shot ice from her hands blowing the enemy away and slamming him into the cliff wall. The fire cage that kept the dragons in disappeared.
"Go! Hide!" Yuki told them as they started running away.
Yuki made the ice barrier disappear as she turned around, her eyes back to normal as she scanned Lindel up and down. "Are you okay?" tears started brimming her eyes. Lindel gave a weak smile and said "I'm so glad to see you." Yuki couldn't help it as she embraced Lindel and giving out a sigh of relief.
"I made it on time." she said.
"I--Watch out!" Lindel suddenly shouted as he pushed Yuki out of the way making the flames envelope Lindel.
"Lindel!!" Yuki cried out as she made a sword out of ice and started charging towards her enemy. "It's been so long young cold one. I've been itching to end you. If only I'd ended you back when you were a baby... But I'm not that cold." her enemy greeted her as he made a fire whip and also started charging towards Yuki.
Yuki had no time to check on Lindel as she started battling evil shark fire dude. Yuki seems to be struggling against fire. "You're weak cold one! You can't defeat me! Fire will consume you!" he sneered.
Yuki's eyes started to glow and said "It never has... and never will." As the whole land started to get covered with snow which put out all the fire that was scattered. "The cold will not yield. It will devour you!" Yuki's voice echoed through the land.
Evil shark fire dude seemed surprised he retracted all the fire and said "I'll be back, and I won't lose." Like a rocket he shot up into the sky and finally disappearing. Yuki went back to normal as she turned around and saw an unconscious Lindel lying on the ground. She ran towards him and laid his head on her lap, brushing his hair out of his face.
"Lindel... please be okay." she whispered as tears started running down her face. Lindel cupped Yuki's face with one hand. "I'm alright just a little burnt out." he punned which made both of us laugh. "I'm so glad that you're back. Did you find what you was looking for?" Lindel asked.
Yuki put her hand over the hand of Lindel that was cupping her face and snuggled right into the warmth of his hand. "No... But seeing you safe is more important to me." she replied which made Lindel grow a soft blush on his cheeks.
The both of them stayed silent for a while, basking in the warmth and joy that the other gave. They don't say it but both of them missed the other immensely. As much as Lindel enjoyed the moment he remembered that the enemy was after Yuki, and the thought of him hurting his Yuki made him angry.
"Yuki... as much as I want you to have your freedom can you stay in Iceland for a few years until we can catch this guy?" Lindel asked. His eyes no longer held that gentle warmth that was there a while ago now it was filled with determination and burning anger. Not only did this guy killed some of his precious dragons, injured a few of them but he was also trying to kill his precious student.
People can hurt him as many times as they want but for the love of God don't touch his dragons and Yuki.
"Yes, I'll stay." Yuki spoke.
"Because I want to kill this guy." Yuki added.
"No one comes in my home and hurts my family. They will have hell to pay especially since they touched the person that I love." Yuki thought.
