Somebody reminded me of this. So thank you!

I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE PICS THAT ARE IN THIS STORY. I FOUND THEM ONLINE. NOR DO I OWN ANY OF THE CHARACTERS FROM THE ANCIENT MAGUS BRIDE.

I know I give slow updates but I rather make each chapter worth it rather than making them half-assed. You get my point? But I'm sorry for the long wait.

Also this has happened years before Lindel meets Chise.

It's been days that I've stayed here with Lindel and the dragons. In this short amount of time, I've grown close with some of the dragons especially Nevin (Young Nevin)

"And you haven't seen this person who sings?" Nevin asked as we both hung out together at one of the cliffs, he was resting while I sat on the grass using his body as support. Lindel has been teaching me about this whole new world that I've recently discovered, he's also given me a few tips about my powers. Though I can't quite say that it has gone smoothly because there's one trait that I've learned about Lindel, and that he's extremely mischevious.

Flashback a few days earlier**

We were flying on one of the Uil dragons as Lindel explained how we are to protect this sanctuary. He even told me that he'll take me up as his own student but in return, I would help him protect this land which I hastily agreed to.

"We have to make sure that none of the young ones should travel too far from the sanctuary." Lindel explained but as usual, whenever we're flying I tend to not listen to any of Lindel's lectures. He noticed I wasn't listening and said "Yuki, you know if you like flying so much there's a way for you to fly by yourself." Which immediately caught my attention. My eyes glistened with excitement as my attention was once again on Lindel.

"How? Can I make like some sort of wings or can my snow powers make me fly?" I was too excited to notice the malicious smirk on Lindel's face. Lindel calmly approached me as he put a hand on my shoulder. "Anyone can do it... enjoy!" he said as he suddenly pushed me backward right off the dragon. I screamed at the top of my lungs once I realized that Lindel pushed me off and I was falling fast almost reaching the ground.

It seemed like I was falling for ages when it has barely been a minute but the next thing I knew I was back on the dragon with Lindel. He stood in front of me with a smirk on his face. I stood up as I ignored my wild hair sticking in all directions as I stormed up to Lindel with a frown plastered on my face. "What the hell, Lindel!?"

When he chuckled that's when I noticed how close our faces were but it seemed like I was the only one who noticed. I felt my face burning up but I wasn't quite sure if my cheeks would turn red. I quickly took a step back to create space between us but he doesn't notice my flustered face or the reason why I put a small distance between us.

"It would be better if you'd listen Yuki. The more you listen the more you'd gain more control over your powers." he calmly stated as we made our way back towards the ground.

**End of flashback

"Nope, I've looked everywhere for this person but no matter how hard I look I'll never be able to find that person. It's like I've made up that person's voice and the voice only exist inside my head." I pointed out. Nevin smiled fondly as he stared at the sky and said "It reminds me of how Lindel sings."

"What? Lindel sings?" I asked. Lindel doesn't look like one to be singing, I mean he is good looking and very kind but that's about it.

Nevin smirked and said "Yes, he sings. It's one of the sources of his power. He can make flowers bloom and summon elves with his singing." The flashback of flowers blooming when he sang appeared in my mind. But I doubt that Lindel was the one who was singing back then, as I've learned that Lindel is bound to this land and for him to be back at my home was impossible.

"Talking behind my back now are we?" Lindel asked as he suddenly appeared. Nevin quickly stood up making me fall back onto the grass. "Lindel, it's a joy to see you today." Nevin said as he looked ecstatic to see his caretaker. I pushed myself off the grass and stared at Lindel once his eyes set on me he said "Yuki, we should be training now."

I enjoyed training and learning more to control my power but being around Lindel has made me comfortable. For the first time in a long time, I've been able to feel like what home really feels like. Being near Lindel was warm, reassuring, and makes me feel safe like no one could endanger my safe bubble that I've created here.

I pouted and said "Can we do it tomorrow?" but once Lindel narrowed his eyes I was quickly on my feet and following him down towards the plain that we usually trained in. "I've been meaning to ask you this Yuki, but what do you plan on doing once you've gained full control over your powers? Do you wish to travel?" he suddenly asked. Lindel's back was facing me and as he asked the question he didn't turn around.

To be honest, I've never really thought of the future. I've been used to sadness and being outcasted that my only worry was to survive each day. But now it was different... I now had a choice but I never really thought about it.

When I think of what I really wanted to do his voice fills my head, and all I want to do is get to know that person. To know who the voice belonged to whether he purposely sang for me or not. Lindel turned towards me once he noticed that I was silent for a while. I smiled warmly towards him and said "I want to find a song that I've always yearned to hear." as the idea of finding him warmed every fiber in my body and made me feel like my sky wasn't empty.

"Eh?" Lindel asked as he blinked and stared at me like I've grown an extra head. "A song? Do you know how hard that is?" I may look crazy but it's something that I really want.

"I want to find him." I whispered to myself which Lindel heard. Lindel continued to look at me weirdly and asked "Him? Are you okay Yuki?" My head turned towards Lindel as I felt a soft breeze drifting through the air and the sun just about to set behind me and stared at Lindel's eyes. He seemed a bit caught off guard for some reason as I smiled at him and said "His song has been keeping me going for as long as I can remember, and I want nothing more than to know the person who sang that song."

Lindel smiled and said "Then I shall support you."

Hey guys! It's been long! Sorry, but I swear that the next chapter will be better. Also I want to hear your thoughts on how Yuki will find out about him? How do you think she'll find out?
