SOLIDARITY
-cthIn this rainy night,
All I can do
Is think
And writeAs I form these words
That escaped my mind,
As much as I do for my lips
I feel free
Like birds
Or beesI begin to ponder
And let my mind wonder
About anything
I could imagine
I look down
On myself.What if
I find a solace
In being alone?
In being with myself
I found homeI don't need "friends
that'll stick to the end"
If I can do things myself
Then why depend?I sigh and think
That this is too much to think
AboutSo I keep my notebook
And dim the lights
As I close my eyes
And doze off into the nightRISK
-LEILA LOPEZI've been wanting to tell you
I'm ready to fall into the uncertain
To take the risk of loving you
Endure all the pain if I break
Take a chance on the love we can make
This time I won't hold back
I'll pour out all the love I can musterTHE SUNSET
-RAPHAEL LUIS SALISEYou are a sunset to me
With beauty emanating beyond understanding
But when you leave, the evening comes
Wrapping me in the depths of the nightI cannot do anything to stop you from setting
Oh, it hurts to watch you as you leave
So I take every chance to see you
Cherishing every moment for just us twoSometimes I stare out the window
Looking at the orange sky
Wondering what makes a sunset so breathtaking
I guess I will never know whyTHE MIND
-IRAIt all began
Upon piles of buckets,
Mountains of wood –
And unceasing expectationsThat details embedded
Their intricate selves
On my infinite shelfOver and over and over
Then along you came;
The shelf was swept clean
There you took your throne. Now there's nothing
Nothing but your smile
And your face
And your messy hair
And your hands–
Not intertwined with mineThe shelf is full.
