Luke---
Without even thinking about it I found myself headed towards the library. I check my phone. Its 7. she should still be here. I can't believe how many people are in the library on the first day. Did professors really give out homework on the first day of class, I thought it was all hi how are you here's what your going to learn this year. There's an older woman behind the main desk. This must be the librarian that was giving all the interviews last night when we weren't supposed to be in here.
I walk around for a while but I can't seen to find her. I'm grabbing a coffee at the Starbucks. about to give up and walk out I here a small giggle and a (your welcome). I peak around a stack of books to see Abigail. My Abigail handing a book to a blonde haired boy with glasses. Hes giggling back at whatever she just said. After a few minutes he finally heads towards the main desk to check out whatever book she'd gave him. I watch for a moment while she puts a stack of books back on the shelf.
"Thanks," I pay for my coffee and head for the bookshelf opposite of her, and pull out a few books so that I can see her.
"Excuse. Do you work here?"
She stands on her tip toes still unable to see me through the shelf. "Umm yeah."
I chucky to myself and put the books back on the shelf, crouching down and pulling out a few more books on her eye level. "I was wondering if you could help me find a book. It's called, how to ask out a cute girl."
"Luke?" In 5 seconds I see her brown hair rounding the corner. "I don't think we have any books on that. We tend to have more educational books. History, different langue's, maybe," she pulled a book of the shelf and looked at the cover, " Edgar Allen Poe?"
"Was Edgar good with ladies?" Luke
She laughed. "I don't think so."
"Guess you'll just have you help me google the information."
She pulled her phone put of her back pocket and the screen lite up showing a picture of her and a puppy. "I'm off I'm fifteen minutes then I'll be more than happy to help."
Abigail---
I finish putting all the books back on the shelf. Thankful for my elementary school librarian for teaching me the dewey decimal system. It wasn't hard to find Luke. Not many boys in the computer area are tall with long blonde curly hair and skinny jeans.
I pull a chair up next to Luke. "So what are we looking up?"
Luke jumped, and I couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, umm. how to ask out a cute girl?"
"Let's see what we can find." I grab the mouse and click google. I laugh a lightly to myself as I typed How to ask out a cute girl.
Luke scoots his chair up and grabs a sheet of paper. "I'm gonna take notes."
I glanced over at Luke waiting for the results to come up. Luke had the bluest eyes, and a jawline you see on sculptures.
"Hey its loaded." Luke laughed clearly knowing I was checking him up.
"Sorry, umm.... it says the best way to ask a girl out is to write her a note, call her, say it with music." I scrolled drown looking throw different websites. "is any of this sounding like something you might do?" I looked over at Luke who slide a piece of paper over to me with one word on it.
Date?
When I looked up at him he had one eye brow raised.
"I'm free Friday. Say 7."
"I'll pick you up outside your hall." Luke stood up. "Thank you for all your help."
"My pleasure."
