Luke---

I stayed up all night calling and texting abby. She wouldn't answer. After a while her phone started going straight to voicemail.

The next morning I went to her dorm, but Micheal said she had already left. I spent the next three days checking her dorm, checking the library, calling, texting. But she was no where to be found, and she sure wasn't going to answer.

Friday morning I slugged my way into Mr. Ericson's class and sit off to the side grading papers while he went on about the war of 1812. I'm pretty sure it was the exact some speach I I had received in the class 3 years ago. When he dismissed everyone I stacked the papers into piles and grabbed my bag.

"Lucas. If you don't mind could I speak with you for a moment." Mr. Ericson

"Of course." Luke

" Are you busy tonight?" Mr. Ericson

I fought back a slight chuckle knowing if Calum was here he would respond with I'm sorry Mr Ericson your not my type. "No sir, not that I know of."

"Well I know it's Friday night, but I have a student in one of my other classes that seems to be struggling. I was wondering if maybe you could tutor her tonight. She's having a makeup test tomorrow morning." Mr. Ericson

I had plan to ask Ash where they were playing tonight so that I could go and run into Abby. I guess if anything I'd just be a little late. "Sure thing."

"Thank you Lucas. I'll have her meet you in the library say 7?" Mr Ericson

"Sounds perfect." I grabbed my stuff and headed off to my next class.

Luke:  hey Ash just out of curiosity where you guys playing tonight?

Ash; Abby's still really pissed. IDK if you should come.

Luke: come on Ash you were there. You saw me and cal get him kicked out. You know i didn't bring him here.

Ash: sorry man I gotta stand with Micheal and Crystal on this. Don't worry they'll come around.... Maybe.

I shove my phone back in my pocket. And to think I was just starting to not hate that guy.

The rest of the day seems like a blurry like it has for the past week. Even soccer practice doesn't make me feel alive. Cal has definitely noticed but hasn't said anything.

I'm laying in bed flipping through old picture of Abby when theres a click of high heels outside my door.

"Ari I'm really sorry but I can't today." Luke

"You couldn't yesterday sorry the day before either Luke. What the hell is going on. If you don't want me anymore just tell me." Ari

"Ari come on just leave him alone he's having a really bad week." Cal is standing in the hall behind her now, but it's not fair for cal to fight my battles for me.

"No one asked you Calum." Ari

"It's fine Cal." Luke

I see him through his hands up in defeat and close his door.

"So what's really going on luke. You don't answer my text, you won't come to any parties, and half the time I'm here your somewhere else." Ari

"I've been distracted lastly." I say. She doesn't need to no by what.

"Well you better get undistracted pretty fast. Soccer starts in a few weeks, daddy will be mad if you don't have an outstanding performance."

I think the conversation is done until she starts pulling off her cloths.
