Hip hop meets ballet

Chapter 6

*Eva's pov*

"Eva are you okay?" Callen says pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Huh, oh yeah I'm fine" I say reassuring him.

I haven't been able to think straight since the audition. What did Alexandra need to talk to him about and not me? And when he came out he looked liked he'd seen a ghost!

"What did Alexandra want? Please tell me.." I ask.

"Eva just drop it okay!" He snaps at me.

"Ugh whatever! I'm going home thanks for your help, not" I said walking away from him.

"Eva I'm sorry!" He calls after me.

I continue you to walk away fuming until a hand grabs my arm and pulls me around. My breath hitches in my throat.

We are centimeters apart, normally I wouldn't mind this but right now I want to go home.

"Callen let go of me!" I said pulling my arm free of his clutches.

"I'm sorry Eva, if you wanna know I'll tell you" His voice softens.

"No forget it, if you need to do the hip hop thing call me cause I promised. But other than that leave me alone" I said turning on my heel and walking away.

*callen's pov*

"What have I done?" I say to myself shaking my head.

I look forward and see her walking away down the street. She doesn't understand that I'm keeping this from her for her own good.

I don't understand why Alexandra doesn't want Eva. She is a perfect ballet dancer and I'm not! Why does she want me and not her!

What do I even care anyway? I don't do ballet, I'm a hip hop dancer, that smokes and does drugs. That's Callen Stewart, not some pretty little ballet dancer.

After a while of walking I reach my house. Opening the door I put my keys in the bowl.

Suddenly, little arms are wrapped around my legs.

"Pia" I say picking her up and spinning her around.

"Callen" She giggles.

"Whatcha doing princess?" I ask sitting her against my hip carrying her into the lounge room.

"Just watching Barbie!" She smiles up at me.

"Ooh which one?" I ask smiling back at her.

"Barbie charm school. My favourite one"

"I thought mermadia was?"

"They all are!!" She giggles.

"How's mum today?" I ask.

"She's okay" her voice softens.

"Keep watching barbie I'll be out in a second"

I put her back under her blankets and walk towards mums bedroom.

"Mum it's just me" I say walking into her room.

"Hi Callen, how was your day baby?" Her voice weak.

"It was okay, what about you?"

"Tiring, everywhere hurts" Her voice sounding weaker.

"I know mum lay down and rest" I said walking over to her bed.

"Okay darling, be safe tonight"

"Who said I was going out?" I ask stunned.

"I know you baby, just be safe"

"I will" I say kissing her on the forehead.

I tuck her in again and walk back out into the lounge room.

"Are you hungry kiddo?" I ask Pia.

"No thanks Callen" she replies.

"Make sure you eat something while I'm gone okay?"

"Your going out again" she pouts.

"Yes I am princess, but I will be home earlier I promise"

"Promise?"

"Promise. Make sure mum rests"

"I will! Bye Callen"

"Bye Pia"

"Don't drink too much, cause we both will no what will happen then!" She says laughing.

"Never again" I laugh to myself before taking the keys and locking the front door behind me.

Tonight I'm getting my thoughts taken off Eva.
