I can feel my eyes opening as I feel a strange yet comforting warmth. I also notice that my leg is wrapped around someone and that my hands are curled upon that person's chest. My eyes, finally adjusting themselves, stare in horror at the identity of the person whom I had been curling up against. It just had to be rude guy, didn't it?
I slowly get up, trying my best not to wake him. God knows what he would do to me if I did. I let my imagination run and shuddered at the thought of my dead body on the street. Tip-toeing, I made my way to the door and slowly, so painfully slowly, turned the doorknob. I heard a grunt come from the guy in bed and I felt terror rise up.
"Shit, I think I woke him up," I thought, mentally face-palming myself.
To my relief, he just stirred in bed and turned to face the wall. Thank God! I thought I was doing to die! I finally get out of that room and go out into the hallway. Snores were still audible, and there was only the low chirping of birds. Making my way to the bathroom, I keep my footsteps as quiet as possible.
I just had to find someone there, didn't I? What made it worse was that this guy had just finished his shower and had a towel wrapped dangerously low around his waist.
"Umm, sorry!" I yell quickly, covering my eyes.
Jungkook laughs and says, "Don't worry, we're both guys. I'm pretty sure we have the same parts."
Woah there, boi. TMI! I just bowed my head and ran to the kitchen, embarrassment evident through the blush on my cheeks. Things this morning were a little too crazy for me. Honestly, I don't even know if staying here was such a good idea. Everything seemed quiet until I heard footsteps behind me, and I immediately jump about twenty feet in the air.
"Calm down, it's just me," the oldest of the six walks in front of me towards the fridge, "would you like to help me with breakfast?"
"Y-yeah, sure."
I swear, I need better communication skills. I help the oldest with his preparation.
"Today," he said, "I'm making strawberry pancakes."
He seemed oddly skilled and quickly made them perfectly rounded and warm. Jin-hyung cut off a piece and fed it to me.
"What do you think?"
The sourness of the strawberry along with the sweetness of the pancake itself made me feel like I was in heaven.
"It's delicious," I said, surprising myself by raising my voice excitedly.
The chef chuckled and nodded his head, "perfect. I hope Namjoon will like them too."
As if on cue, everyone entered the kitchen (except for rude guy). They were all smiling happily and wiping their eyes' tiredness away. They all sat down quickly and waited patiently for the food to be served. They all thanked the cook and began to eat.
"Why," Namjoon asked through a mouthful of pancake, "aren't you eating, Jung Hoseok?"
"Umm, well. Rud- I mean, Min Yoongi, isn't here yet," I spoke in my usual low voice.
"He is tough to wake up," Jungkook laughed, "especially in the mornings."
I nodded my head in understanding and waited for the conversation to continue. I was never one to join in or talk much.
Taehyung spoke in a much deeper voice than usual, "You should go take his breakfast to him."
My face twisted into one of worry, "Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"Yeah, definitely," Tae responded, trying to keep himself from laughing, "Here, take this one."
He handed me a plate with two pancakes and chuckled lightly, "make sure you don't get him too upset."
I gulped and walked with the plate tightly clutched in my hands. I felt a hand in my shoulder and turned around.
"You know, what? I'll take it for you; Yoongi can be a bit demanding in the mornings," Jimin, who had finally spoken to me, smiled.
"Oh, if it's not too much of a bother."
Jimin shook his head, "Don't worry, I know how to deal with him. You should go eat."
"Okay. Thank you."
I make my way to the kitchen a little relieved but with a slight tug in my heart. What was wrong with me? I should be glad that Jimin offered to do that for me, but I couldn't help thinking about the two of them together. It made no sense.
I sat down and ate my pancakes quickly. I should hurry back to the room before Jimin gets hurt. I thanked Jin for the amazing breakfast and quickened my pace to rude guy's room. Opening the door, I notice Jimin leaning over rude guy. Was he still trying to wake him up? Jimin seems to realize my presence and jolts quickly away from the bed.
"Umm, did I startle you? I'm sorry."
"Oh no," Jimin clears his throat, "not at all. Well, maybe a little."
"I'm sorry."
The third youngest shook his head, "Don't apologize, I was just trying to wake Yoongi up."
I nodded my head and watched Jimin pick up the pancakes and take them with him. He walked up to me and sighed.
"It seems he really doesn't want to get up today. Guess we'll have to put these in the fridge.
We both left the room and I couldn't help but notice a small hint of anger in his expression. Had I really startled him? Ugh, I can never do anything right. We went to the living room and sat with the other four residents of this house.
"Hoseok, sit next to me," Jungkook patted the empty spot next to him on the couch.
"O-okay."
When I sat down, he scooted a bit too close for comfort. I didn't mind it all that much. I mean, I'm going to have to get used to this closeness if I'm going to live here.
"Move, Jungkook."
I heard an annoyed voice come from someone who had apparently just woken up.
"Calm down. Sheesh, I was here first, " Jungkook said and put his arm over me.
I blushed and tried to deal with the discomfort.
"You know he's mine, right?" Suga said menacingly.
"Yeah right. Like heck he would choose you."
Thus, Jungkook and rude guy started their first fight of the day. It's gonna take a while for me to actually get used to this.
