I'm told strive to be the best
Not strive for my best
I work hard to do better
Than my last time
But everyone flips out saying
"You have to be the best, no second place"
Fuck that bulshit!
I want to do my best
Not live up to these impossible standards!
I don't give a fuck what you expect
I will only live to my expectations
Not the bulshit ones you set up for me!
I like to strive to do the best I can each day
Not strive to be the best!
People need to know that striving to be your best
Is the best thing you can do
It's the only thing you should do
I don't care to strive to be the top
I keep moving up no matter what
I keep going on no matter what
So let me do my best
Not be the best
Because my best is what I need to do
