"Will, I love you. Please don't leave," I begged, tears forming in my eyes.
I gazed at the brunette, blue eyed beauty, who cupped my face in his hands. His eyes were filled with sadness, and care. I shut my eyes, letting a tear fall down my cheek. Before it hit the ground, Will stopped it with his finger.
"Anna, please. Don't cry. I have to leave. This has been one of the best, most unforgettable, summers, and you are the most amazing girl I have ever met. I will never forget you. I love you," he whispered, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine.
I nodded, understanding his logic, but not wanting to face reality.
"And listen to me," he said, tilting my chin up so I was staring into his breathtaking blue eyes. "We can still be friends. We can make it work. We can call each other, and skype! There's so much technology out there! It will be like I'm still here."
I shook my head. I lived in California. Will lived in Connecticut. There is a large time difference. This will never work.
"Will-," I started to object, but he cut me off, his lips centimeters away from mine. They were hovering over my lips, causing me to stare. I would sure miss those soft pink lips that were so kissable.
"Anna, please. I have to go. But trust me, we will see each other again one day. I love you."
With that, he leaned in, giving me a sweet, passionate kiss. I could tell he loved me, and that he really wanted to work this out. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he wrapped his around my waist, his fingers playing with the bottom of my hair.
He broke away from me, leaving me breathless, and placed his forehead on mine. His eyes were full of passion.
"We will see each other again one day," he promised in a low husky voice.
I never realized how true that statement would be.
