Chapter One "One week in"

Peridot's POV
It's been a good week, and yet my morning routine is still so confusing. I used to be able to sleep in somewhat late, and when I woke up I did few things, vocabulary improvement, maybe some math, writing, and any assignment my mother would give me, of course it was harder than this, but waking up early and getting prepared—and basically everything else was a complete culture shock to me.
At least I still have my friend Lazuli, who'll pester me with messages until I wake up—Incase you are wondering, Lazuli is Lapis, I just created a nickname for her based on her last name—it's quite helpful when my alarm doesn't wake me up. The bus ride sitting next to her is always interesting, she always chooses an interesting topic to speak about, or one that makes both of us laugh somehow.
I've also become close to the others, but mainly Lapis, Pearl, and Rose.
As we get off the bus to enter the school building. I see four girls approach me. One is tall and has tannish skin, and blonde hair. One is short, and has pale skin, and blue hair. As for the last two, they seem to be twins, at least that's what I'd expect.
Lazuli stares at them and then awkwardly stares at me before saying, "I need to hurry to my locker." I glance at her in confusion, but she is already gone. I stare back at the four, they seem intrigued by my looks, but I'm confused as to why they are, giving we all have the same uniform.
"Oh my god, Toppy look at her glasses! And Jas, do you see that hairstyle?" I hear them loudly whisper as they approach me, which confuses me yet again, they were approximately 5 feet away from me when they said this, so it wouldn't do them much good if they were trying to hide it from me.
"Uhm, hello...?" I mumble when they finally reach me, "Who... are you...?" "Oh my god she talks like a nerd too! Jas can you, like, believe this?" The short one exclaims as they all stare at me, as if they're studying my outfit, which still makes no sense to me, giving that we all look the same for the most part. "Yes, Aqua, I see her hair, and I see her glasses too, now could you shut up for one second." The tallest one would say as she continued staring at me.

There was a brief moment of silence

"Hey, what class do you have next?" The tallest one, which I assume is named Jas, giving the fact that her accommodates called her that, would ask me, as if there was no silence at all.
"I-I have E-English...? Why d-do you ask...?" I stutter back, the silence made me feel awkward in a way. "Hm," She started, I was still quite confused by this scenario. "Here, what's your locker number, so I can find you around lunch?" "U-uh.... I-I think it's 1-130..." I continue stuttering before Lazuli comes by and grabs my arm, instantly taking me away from the four.
"Sorry about leaving you with them, that was Jasper and her stupid crew.... I hate her.." Lazuli would admit before dragging me to English.
